It was pretty alright. The chicken sandwich was very juicy and good, the Chicago dog was okay since the hotdog was small and kind of plain. The food was alright but the service was slow. It’s good to have if you’re getting a chicken sandwich but otherwise, it’s just alright.

Excellent Chicago-style Dog! Staff was nice and food came out fast! We had a free beef sandwich from the white Sox game bc juicy beef won the race.

our practice ordered food for our staff. I found a mosquito in my salad. I called them immediately after noticing it and they only offered a $10 gift card. – this was not the only issue with our order. one soup was spilled in the bag and we were missing items (which i made the manager aware). Our order was over $100 and we did not think $10 was enough compensation for a bug ruining my entire lunch and the rest of our staff missing items from their order.

Updated to note that we went back today and enjoyed a pizza and an Italian beef and both were equally delicious and perfectly cooked.

During midday in Chicago, I visited this Buona (Streeterville) location and had a delightful experience. The food was delicious, and I was pleased to find that there wasn’t much of a line to order. However, the pickup process was a tad slow, but I understand that it’s reasonable given the beef preparation involved. Despite this, the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed and truly enjoyable. It’s definitely a great place to stop in with a group of friends, especially if you want to catch the game on TV.

The salad is good, but I will NEVER make the mistake of adding the chopped chicken EVER AGAIN (IF I ever order from this restaurant again). Less than 1/4 chicken for $3.24! I added the chicken for more protein. I honestly could have left off the chicken for what it was worth. It’s insane that anyone would think that is an adequate amount of chicken for the added on price. Please do better! Next, why give ONLY one small amount of salad dressing for a large salad. Not nearly enough for the salad. The small slice of bread is flavorless. I opted to not eat it because it wasn’t worth the calories or carbs. I know someone will say that $3.24 isn’t a lot of money, but it’s the principal of giving the customer their monies worth. Lastly, why put a deliver sticker on a bag and it isn’t SEALING the bag. Isn’t that the point of the sticker or at least staple the bag. Uber Eats should monitor these restaurants. TGIF is much better in value and just as good in taste!

While in town visiting, we came across Buona and stopped for dinner. The beef, chargrilled chicken sandwich and fries were delicious! The staff was very kind as well. We enjoyed our meal so much that we had dinner there again the next day before leaving town. We wish there were Buona’s in Dallas/Ft Worth!

I will admit that I was getting a little burned out on Italian Beef. I tried it for the first time a decade ago on a trip to Chicago and I loved it. I returned home to Seattle and there was not a single place I could find that carried it. I enjoyed it during subsequent trips to AZ, CA and even NY but then I moved to las Vegas, which has a significant number of Chicago ex-pats and I may have overdone it.
