Hawk’s BBQ has always been my favorite! I picked up the 8pc Whiting fillets, an order of hushpuppies, and some macaroni salad. Stop by you will not be disappointed! Good service and Food. I have loved Hawk’s since I was a kid and it has not changed!! You will love something off the menu too.

Best BBQ sandwich I ever had. I moved here from Charlotte, NC. I know good BBQ I have been going to Hawks for the last 4 months. I have tried Southside, East end and Brook Rd. Brook Rd location had the best tasting of all three locations. I recently went to the Brook rd location on August 10th excepting good BBQ. When I got my sandwich I was better than good. This was the best tasting BBQ I ever had I don’t know if they added more flavor or what but all I know is I went back and ordered 2 more sandwiches. I hope they sell it by the pound I need this for football season. If you want Thebes BBQ go to the one on Brook road you will love it.

The whole experience was a no for me and if I could, there would be no stars from me. I ordered the 2 pc lunch special. The fish was pretty, but absolutely tasteless. I was given 3 pounds of fries. Guess that was to distract me from the tasteless fish. And how can buttered toast be messed up? The collard greens only had a little heat (spice), but no other seasonings including salt. The best thing of food was the Pepsi, but that was served in what could be compared to a baby’s sippy cup because of the size. The lady working at the counter was a bit short toned with the customers. The store had a dirty floors, chairs, and windows. They’d only been open an hour and a half. They got $14 outta me. This was my first and LAST visit.

This is a take out only just FYI. I got a large BBQ sandwich and fries. BBQ was amazingly delicious. A little skimpy on the meat for $10 but still delicious and exactly what I was craving. Fries were cooked perfectly golden brown. Seems other places under cook fries anymore and it drives me crazy. Lady working the register was very nice and made sure to see if I needed any condiments. They were super busy and employees working their butts off so leave them a tip. Being a truck driver I don’t get to eat at to many places like this and I’m so glad I stopped in.

This was my 1st and probably my last time here. I ordered the 4pc chicken dinner which comes with 1 side, a slice of cake, and a drink… first off that cost $21 do I think the portions were right for $20 absolutely not I should’ve been able to get second side free. The taste of the food was subpar. The macaroni WAS NOT hot it was lukewarm and it tasted just like macaroni and cheese with minimal seasoning. The chicken….the breading was seasoned great and fried nice except it was kinda burnt tasting and the actual neat of the chicken itself lacked flavor as to say they don’t season the meat as well as the flour but hey it was hot. Whew chy the cake you thought this review was getting better I’m sorry to inform you the lemon cake was a COMPLETE letdown for me. Instead of tasting like lemon cake it tasted like dry yellow cake with a light lemon tasting frosting with candied lemon pieces in it..best thing for $21 the fountain drink. Don’t expect chick fil a service either. When I arrived I was greeted and asked how could they help me I informed them I wasn’t ready but mid me ordering the phone rings and as I take 2 seconds to make a choice about something the lady proceeds to take another customers order in the middle of mine. Now by all means get your money but I don’t like that if you are servicing me than I should have your attention because what if I had questions about the menu it wouldn’t ha e mattered because in that moment the phone order took presidency over mine. It is take out only so don’t expect to dine in.
