Let me start: I am not a Korean cuisine aficionado, so arguably, what I judge a chewy meat is exactly how it is supposed to be. We tried a variety of things, including pork (not chewy), beef (bulgogi) & seafood (squid), the last of which was very chewy, albeit our fault as we do not run that little grill that well. We had a large birthday group and our very nice and well meaning waitress that said would cook things for us, just did not show up often enough. This last issue is a product of what I can only assume is the restaurant’s decision to not hire sufficient staff, which you can attribute to whatever reasoning you wish. Bottom line, I have had Korean barbecue that I liked a lot more. On the upside, the flavoring was solid, dumplings were good, as were the sides, but they did not refill often enough. The kimchee soup kicked your butt, in the proper manner.

Good food. Better mood. Tasty Korean BBQ place with a wide variety in meats. For me the side dishes (banchan) are what completes a good Korean bbq. Just six banchan doesn’t really do it for me, luckily some f the appetizers can act as replacements for the ‘missing’ banchan.

This was my first Korean BBQ experience and I was left feeling a bit disappointed. We asked what they recommended for first-timers and ended up with a marinated chicken and marinated steak. I had looked forward to cooking my own meats and having a variety of sauces to dip in and eat with rice and veggies. However, they cooked the meats for us at the table and it didn’t really have any sauces. The traditional Korean sides and rice were the main sides. It was delicious but just felt like we were missing some sauces and more vegetables. I also saw other tables cooking their own food and with a variety of different heating elements so maybe we need to try it again and ask different questions to get the right dish. For that reason, still a 4/5 for me.

It was empty when we got there and we were told it was typically empty before 7pm. Ordered the bulgogi and the brisket and beef bibimbap. We’ve tried Korean food previously and particularly Korean bbq, but this just wasn’t it. The brisket came out frozen, and there’s no grease on the grill so the meat ended up hard and dry like it was boiled. And didn’t taste like anything. We were offered sesame oil, hot sauce, sweet and sour sauce and soy sauce but none of those helped. When we complained they did take it away and off our order. The bulgogi tasted a little better than the brisket but still had a boiled texture. The bibimbap was the best thing of the lot and came with a flavorful hot sauce. All in all a disappointing experience and don’t think we’d go back

We love this place! The charcoal grills make for much better tasting food than at other Korean BBQ restaurants with propane grills. The staff here was also very kind and gave good recommendations. We would not have tried the delicious seafood pancake if it weren’t for their advice! Soooo good. We will definitely be coming back.
