In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Upside: they give you *food*. Period. The slider/tender/fries combo has made me quite stuffed, and it’s spiced with a rub and a freestanding sauce so you don’t have to stay nuclear if you order one of the hotter options. Plus, I drew one of the most animated cashiers I’ve had in a long time. Downside: not exactly cheap, but considering the quality and quantity it’s a drawback I can live with.

I’m not sure where to begin. I have been wanting to try this place for some time and finally the day has arrived. I decided on the #4. Medium heat. What a great experience. The staff was friendly & fast.. and the food was all I had hoped it to be. Flavorful and filling yet not heavy. The fries were perfectly seasoned and the chicken was moist & juicy. The space is clean & upbeat. Overall quite satisfied.

My fiancé came here for the first time today for a little date night. Oh man is the food delicious and fresh!!!! I ordered Dave’s #3 which is 1 slider (hot) and fries. First off the chicken on the slider is huge, my fiancé ordered 2 sliders and fries. The hot slider was hot!! If you don’t like spice you can get mild, lite mild, or no spice. There are seven levels of heat to choose from. What’s great about this location is the ample free parking onsite. The shake was delicious, my girl Shannon put Oreos on the bottom, middle, and top of my shake. The customer is top tier. Meals range from $10 – $13 plus tax. All meals comes with fries and Dave’s sauce. Come here and they’ll take great care of you. Special shot out to Shannon and her team.

First trip to Dave’s. I love Hot Chicken and wanted to give this a try. I like the limited menu and the portions are very good. Went extra hot and the heat level was good but didn’t care for the flavor. The tenders are good size and tasty. The fries and sauce were very good. I would try again to see if the taste was different on a different heat level. Worth and try and will try again.

On my quest to find the spiciest food dared to be served by a restaurant, I have visited many various chicken places here in Chicago. And while most have satisfied my taste for burning Hell fire, none quite compare to Dave’s Hot Chicken! Not only do I always favor their single slider w/fries dipped in Reaper sauce the sandwich itself is a flavorful and delicious with any heat level applied. I can not praise this restaurant enough! Their shop is clean and welcoming and their staff is ALWAYS friendly! Do yourself a favor and stop by for a visit. You won’t be disappointed.
