Absolutely DELICIOUS tacos!! A little on the pricey side but I’d say they’re worth every penny given how flavorful, creative, and filled with meat they are! The huitlacoche quesadilla was such a unique offering and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it in Chicago! The churro bites at the end are so light and fluffy I could have eaten another 20 of them!

Casual taco place with a tiny interior and decent amount of outdoor-only seating (the patio is covered). They don’t take reservations so it’s first come first serve. The service is slow but the prices are very reasonable for a city ($6ish per taco) AND the tacos were loaded.

Easily the most unique, innovative and fun tacos in the city! The duck carnitas taco and seasonal squash blossom quesadilla are my favorites. Try to make room for guac and churros too.

I had their veggie al pastor and squash tacos. Both were delicious and full of flavor! My favorite were the churros—literally melts in your mouth. Their patio seating has heat lamps for the cold!

I went here on the recommendation of a chef friend and was not disappointed. They have unique options, balanced flavors, and amazing quality. The patio is very warm (it was in the 30s outside) and dog friendly. Service was fast and easy. We had the duck carnitas, tempura shrimp, and carne asada tacos. All were awesome.

First time here was great, the smell of fresh tortilla from the outside of the building as you walk up completely draws you in. I ordered Cochinita Pibil Torta, Chingon Salad, Mushroom Tinga, Agua Fresca. Mushroom tinga was alittle too messy for my taste, completely fell apart when I went to take my first bite but the tortilla was unbelievable. The salad was over salted. The torta was 10/10 amazing in every single way. Agua Fresca was really yummy, I would love it as a frozen treat in the summertime for sure.

Taqueria Chingon served up the best tacos I have ever had. I still can’t believe how good they were. Pictured are the tacos I ordered: 2 Campechano (left and middle) and 1 Duck Carnitas. All amazing, both with very distinct flavors. The Duck Carnitas taco was like a yummy, spicy cloud of deliciousness. Ate this with a refreshing Agua Fresca and finished with their churros. Their churros are absolutely out of this world amazing. The Taqueria has about a dozen tables on a nice shaded patio. Very highly recommend!

Loved the Squash and Butter Chicken taco but didn’t quite feel the Shrimp Tempura and Duck tacos. They have nice little patio space with some heaters and the staff is friendly. Would come again to try more tacos.

Always take our out of town guests here, and it’s always a hit! Just the yummiest tacos – the duck is fantastic, and the churros are the best around.
