I had an incredible experience at this Chinese restaurant. The restaurant’s location and exterior are distinct, and the staff greeted me with exceptional energy. This is one of my favorite Chinese food spots I have ever visited. Even though I’m not typically a fan of orange chicken, the way they prepare it changed my mind. I highly recommend trying their pot stickers, as they are incredibly delicious and you may even want to order more. The portions are generous and served family-style. The service was outstanding, and the decor was lovely. The prices were also very reasonable.

I can certainly understand how friendship restaurant got its name: from the most beautifully created dishes down to the beautiful music box check that arrives with your bill… Someone has put a lot of thought into your dining experience at one of Chicago’s best rated Chinese restaurants. I personally recommend the honey shrimp; you will not be disappointed!

Great place! They start by giving you a hot towel for your hands. Fast and friendly service. I got the lunchbox you got to choose what vegetables, protein, and appetizer. It was delicious. A little heavy on the salt but very good. They give you your check in a musical box it was super cute. Also they give you a chocolate fortune cookie.

Beautiful space, gorgeous plated dishes and the food is always amazing good! We love this place- a great spot to take friends or business partners because everything will be perfect. The drinks and food are not only beautiful- but sooo good. The dining room is very pretty and they play tasteful Sinatra style music that makes it a very easy place for conversation. Parking always plentiful out front on Milwaukee.

Friendship Chinese is a great spot for Chinese food in Logan, Avondale. We had dinner on a Friday night when my friends were visiting from out of town and they loved it. The staff was helpful and kind. The food was lovely. Really enjoyed the pineapple fried rice and Mongolian beef. All of the noodle dishes are great options as well. The interior doesn’t make it seem like you’re in Chicago. I will definitely be back soon.

We’ve been patronizing Friendship for over 15 years and have always enjoyed it, but my most recent visit was less than satisfactory. I ordered shrimp with lobster sauce, which the menu clearly stated is served over broccoli. When the dish arrived, it was shrimp and eggplant! Thinking there was a mistake, I waited for the server and pointed out the discrepancy. His response, “Oh, yeah, we changed the menu, but the new printed menus haven’t arrived” left the people at my table gaping. What kind of crazy explanation is that?! Not wanting to make a scene (I was with a work colleague), I accepted the dish. It was fine, nice shrimp, although a little bland. Okay, get some chili sauce. But halfway through the meal, I thought “Those are funny looking eggplant,” and realized that about half the dish was tofu cakes! Again, my dining companions gaped. So not only did I not get what I ordered, I received a dish with a highly allergenic component thrown in a random. I am not allergic to soy, but if I had been, I could have experienced a medical emergency. I know times are tough and restaurants are struggling to find good help, but I thought this was just ridiculous, and I’ll think twice before going back.

Just ordered delivery from here and I had to leave a review immediately! Everything is perfectly packaged, the portions are large and the food is FANTASTIC!! Everything we had was excellent. Kids loved the orange Chicken (its a little spicy) and we really enjoyed the Fkrecracker noodles. We have been coming here for years and we continue to be impressed with the quality. Prices may seem a little higher but you also get large portions.
