Our favorite place to dine with friends. Incredible food, outstanding service. A rare delight set in a historic Chicago landmark. Please don’t miss the escargot and filet mignon. Great wine list! We will be back.

This is a refined dining experience. The atmosphere is calm and reserved. Table linens, full silverware settings and Riedel wine glasses are the standard here. Their menu leans towards French cuisine. Butter, cream and love were found in every dish we tried. The service was wonderful. I recommend this place for a calm, adult dinner out.

The food is phenomenal and the prices are insanely affordable. My favorite is the escargot and French onion gratin soup. The chef is Le Cordon Bleu trained and it shows. Very very delicious. The food is also served at neighboring Le Pharmacie so you can enjoy the best of both if wanted.

Best meal we’ve had during our Chicago stay. Great food, cozy atmosphere and friendly service. I had the rack of lamb and my wife had the duck. Really liked the house cab. Very reasonable prices. Definitely will be back!

It just stupfies me why this restaurant is not the most crowded place in Edgewater. The Edgewater Beach Cafe is the absolute best in the neighborhood! Tried every other restaurant and there’s no comparison! From the escargot to the shrimp with burgundy sauce to the raspberry chicken, it’s all delicious. It’s essentially a French restaurant minus the cost and pretentious attitude. The owner is Vietnamese and his wife trained in Paris is the chef. Couldn’t ask for more!

The food was cooked to order and perfectly, the wine list short but well thought, onion soup perfect. Our host made us exceptionally welcome and the French roast coffee served with the lightest yet rich chocolate cake topped off a delightfully good meal while enjoying the jazz, the service, and the evening. All at a quite reasonable price for a nice treat.

I called to ask a simple question and I get berated on the phone. Yes it was a call back about a different 20 second question. As I had called moments earlier and had the idea to get takeout after I was told they do not do delivery, which I was completely fine with. I was expecting to spend upwards of a $100 at the establishment and I get an attitude and the person telling me not to call back because I asked why they were acting that way when a paying customer wants to know their options. Does the place not want the business? Maybe so many people like their food that some of them just dont care how they treat people. I and my girlfriend had a great time there in the past but this is the first time in decades of ordering food someone has yelled at me and had such a terrible attitude. The customer is definitely not always right but you cant treat people like you’re doing them a favor and that their questions don’t matter. Even if you have a bad day you can be kind. Fyi I called today at 5:16pm.

This is our family favorite “go to” place for birthdays & other occasions. Zung, the owner, & his wife in the kitchen, get my vote for favorite intimate dining spot with delicious, carefully prepared dinners & brunch on Sunday. Service is very attentive, jazz combo present on some nights & Sunday brunch.
