I’ve been eating Vietnamese on Argyle for years and DaNang Kitchen was a refreshing surprise! Unique takes on classic flavors. Every dish was a taste explosion! The Banh Khot Tom was a new twist on a ban xeo. Instead of a rice flour pancake, it’s 6 individual little cups. Crispy and puffy with huge flavorful shrimp (or tofu) and all the lettuce and basil to wrap it up in. The Green Papaya salad was also unique, topped with sweet strips of Vietnamese jerky, fried shallots and toasted almonds in a sweet & citrusy yummy, house made dressing. We ordered an awesome noodle dish and almost the entire small plate menu and I can’t wait to go back and try the Pho! Lots of vegetarian options! Cute outdoor patio!

No breathing, just noodles. I got the vegan pho and the veggie rolls. The veggie rolls were very tasty, a little small but really filling. The pho was the best I’ve ever had; the noodles were great, the flavor was indescribably good, and it came in a huge bowl so it was easy to share and still feel full afterwards. Highly recommend!!!

Bánh Mi Chão was a dilectable experience and is available only for a limited time. As featured on instagram at @Danang_Kitchen, the sizzling meat was buttery soft and the pork pate was full of flavor that complimented the fried eggs. The meal was all pulled together by a delicious crisp baguette that served as a vehicle for the rich bone marrow. An amazing meal for anytime of day, but is only available Sunday, TOMORROW. Will be returning soon!

Sidney, the chef, was absolutely the queen! Duck confit, shrimp, sweet sour halibut soup all hit the spot. I loved that she comes to check on us for each dish, makes jokes and laughs together. It was the best evening of the week, thanks to her and my friends. The best spot in Argyle.
