This is my first time trying Venezuelan cuisine. I went to the their Food Truck not knowing what to order. I was recommended the “Dientes de Dragón” cachapa. It is HUGE! It was a bit sweet for my taste, but I could tell it was made well. I also tried the pastelito andino with “queso con papa”. I didn’t like it.

Ok SO HEADS UP… IT TOOK ONE HOUR FOR ME TO GET 2 EMPANADAS!!!! I was given the estimated time of 30 mins. Fine. I was listening to music. But its freaken ridiculous 1 hour. The food was good but not worth the wait. If you have to have them order early. And expect to be expensive. They start from 3.50 to 5. There is other food you can try.

Very tasty food, so nice to see there’s more than just tacos trucks! The service is warm and friendly by the family owned and run business which is certainly a plus to see! Love all the food choices which are all very healthy, even a vegan can eat well here. The Arepas can be made to your specification if you like to change things up a bit, but ordering anyone them will be satisfying, gotta try the ones w black beans and plantain and beef! The chicken w avocado and white is excellent, so very fresh and not greasy. Location is all outdoor seating and very casual perfect for an evening stroll.

Heard about this food truck spot from my coworker, so we all went to grab dinner after a long day. I’m always up for something I’ve never had before and at this spot, it was Venezuelan food. I’m so glad I made this choice because 1) food was delicious & filling (I ordered the pabellon bowl) and 2) the owners were the sweetest! You can tell they really care about authenticity and the quality of the food they serve. If I’m ever in McAllen again, I will bee line to them
