I don’t like posting negative reviews. But, I don’t understand the recent five star reviews for this restaurant on SR-64. I purchased LJS chicken from here about a year ago and it had a horrible chemical taste which I assumed was because of old oil. I threw the whole meal away. Today, after reading the recent reviews, I decided to give it another chance. I took one bite and threw the chicken away. It tasted just as bad as it did a year ago. The chemical taste is strong. Management needs to change oil and make sure the fryer is cleaned thoroughly before putting more in. Two tossed meals and lingering stomach upset ensured I’ll never go back.

Whenever my husband and I want fried chicken KFC comes to mind. I really like their biscuits and coleslaw along with the chicken. The staff always gets my order correct and cooked to perfection. Give them a try you might like them.

I am giving the place 3 stars because of the cleanliness of the store and the smiles of the employees. Now the food…..the chicken leg was no bigger than my thumb. The biscuit was just a tiny bit bigger than my spoon. I know the food specs come from corporate, but it takes a 4 piece to make the equivalent of a 2 piece just a few years ago. This place is not Kentucky Fried Chicken, it is Kentucky Fried Chick.

After waiting over 10 minutes in the drive-through and not moving I parked and went in. Water several minutes for someone to come to the register. After I ordered it, it took ten more minutes to get my food. Definitely not a Fast Food restaurant.

Used drive-thru so I can’t comment on atmosphere. Order and window staff was friendly and efficient. I hadn’t eaten at LJS in years – there are none near me, so I was looking forward to fish and chips for a change from the usual drive-thru fast food. The sides were good. But the fish was unfortunately a disappointment. Fish was either cooked a bit too long or the oil was a bit too hot. The coating was so crisp and dry it was unappetizing and difficult to eat, which dried out the fish underneath. Fish is too delicate to abuse like that. It can be ruined in an instant – and was.

Horribly slow, poor customer service, The fish was salty, soaked in oil and over breaded . Tiny shrimp masked in tons of batter. At least the fries were decent otherwise I’d starve. Dining room was not available. Stopped in for old times sake since they don’t have these where I live now. All I’m left with is a bad memory

The service was pretty quick and friendly, however the food seemed as though it had been sitting in a warmer for a VERY long time. It was no longer crispy, and was cold and rubbery. I just wish it had been fresh foos and this would have been an excellent experience.

Doors to dining room locked past opening time. Went through drive through, order was not correct, only received half of what I ordered. Outside of store looked worn and dirty (there a bit of construction going on to replace lights outside up front). Contact with server was minimal. No receipt was given handed to me with my change, nor was it put in the bag.

KFC is good, my kids love the tenders here, as they are juicy and soft, not overcooked. My Son also enjoys the Mac & Cheese so much that I have to buy a double side meal and get 2x on the Mac & Cheese sides. Stay away from the Long John Silvers. They need to spend more on the fish to get better quality. I not expecting 5 star dining, but the fish should be at least on par with the chicken, and it’s definitely not. I wish it was, I always like a good fish and chips. If you want fast food fish done right, go order the 2 or 3 piece dinner at Culver’s. That is a good piece of fish. The price shows it, but you get what you pay for, and with fish, it’s gonna be a little more expensive than chicken if it’s good.

Only did drive thru. Got one order from Long John menu and 1 order from KFC menu. Both orders were correct, hot, and well prepared. Everyone was polite and pleasant.
