We had so much fun Saturday during the day at the Tavern. The food is super delicious, great cocktails, AMAZING service. The food came out super fast and Lola drink was bomb! There was House Music party and we had so much fun, great tunes and great vibes.

An average meal with slow service.

I left a review almost a year ago with 4 stars. There were some small things I didn’t like. Wanted to update and change it, but couldn’t find it. So- here we are again!

I went here for first time on a Saturday afternoon and boy was this place nice and comfortable inside lots of tv’s to watch college football games on but more importantly the service was great and even better the food was very good!

Found this place based on Google reviews. I wasn’t too pleased with the food. It really lacked taste for me. We had the spinach dip for an appetizer – that probably had the most flavour of the entire meal. My braised short rib pasta – I had high hopes for. The service was friendly and very accommodating. We stopped in on a Saturday night and it was fairly empty and easy to get seating.

The service and ambiance was quite nice. My wife and I got an appetizer, Irish nachos, and it was tasty. She also like her rigatoni and vodka. The big disappointment was the braised beef pasta dish. It honestly seemed like a re-heated, watery pot roast was dumped on noodles. I didn’t even finish half. For a $25 pasta dish, I expected better. I do plan to go back and try some other items since it’s in the neighborhood and has a large menu.

Had my wedding rehearsal dinner on the rooftop patio at Tavern on the Point and could not be happier! Kathy was great to work and very accommodating during the planning process. During our dinner the serving staff were excellent and were able to switch us inside when it got too cold outside. In addition to the quality service the food was outstanding! Highly recommend for any event you may have!

Feeling of a downtown bar/rooftop spot without the hassle of going to the heart of Chicago. My girls & are OBSESSED with their calamari & this is usually our place of choice when coming to Edison Park for a girls night. Staff is super friendly & gives great suggestions! I suggest making a reservation if you’re going on a weekend in the summer just in case it gets too busy.

Food was cooked pretty well. However the kitchen has no clue what seasoning is. Not sure overall what happened.

I have been coming here since it opened. The experience is outstanding each and every time. There are multiple levels with indoor and outdoor spaces. On my most recent visit both myself and my companion had the short rib & jam grilled cheese and it was outstanding! The filet sliders are also a favorite of mine. I have never had anything I didn’t like. The people who run this place are standup neighborhood people who put their heart and soul into everything they do. I can’t recommend this place enough. I am always looking for an excuse to go to Edison Park to go here. The last time was for a lunch meeting as a good halfway point between downtown and Northbrook. The best part is I know this place is going to be around. This is not a fly by night that will be under a new name/concept/management in a year or two. This place has long term staying potential. I think my next visit will be on a weekend night with the wife.
