Tonight, we enjoyed a delightful dinner at Shoo Loong Kan, yet another gem in the realm of Chinese hotpot restaurants in Chicago. We arrived at around 6 pm, as we put our name down for a party of five. Remarkably, within a mere 30 minutes, a text alerted us that our table was ready—an impressively efficient start to the evening.

The taste I missed so much! Everything is authentic and delicious here. We ordered 3 type of base for the soup: tomato, pork and the numbness spicy one – this is not kidding…if u love spicy, go for it. We tried the less spicy, and we almost died

An alternative choice from Little lamb hotpot, choose what you want to eat. Lamp slices are not as thin as others, otherwise a very good choice. You can even take the soup base home. I bet other restaurants may just dump it.

The first thing about entering this place is the atmosphere – it’s so beautiful inside and each table has a container for your jacket and belongings. The food is order per item, and they have so many great choices! Definitely one of my favorite hot-pot places!

Wanted to try this place out since it was new. It was okay tbh, we tried the lamb, pork, and beef and they all kind of tasted the same. The tomato broth was a bit sweet and creamy, I enjoyed the mushroom broth better. Good selection of ingredients to make a sauce. Overall, it was okay.

Ate here 3-4 times. Neat store but I wish they had better air circulation inside. Also, would be better if they can keep the spicy level more consistent. Other than that, not bad for the price.

All I can say is Spicy even with mild broth. You can smell the spicy in the atmosphere. The experience was good. The fried rice was too tier delicious.

LOVED the hot pot selection here. So many broth options and items to cook in the pot. All ordering done on tablet. We loved the house lamb and garlic beef plus chinese cabbage and mushrooms. Be aware that if you get the spicy broth, this is authentic Szechuan style so it really has a kick. We did the pork bone broth and the spicy broth. The sauce bar was everything-so many items to choose from. I will go back just for that. Service was impeccable. Electronic waitlist at host stand or online before.

Man this spot was tasty. It’s beautiful, it’s delicious, the service is fast and excellent. You pay per item rather than one set price like with other hot pot but it’s all worth it. We are way too much and I feel so happy. Also there’s a whole sauce bar. A sauce bar! Yes please. If you’re looking for hot pot, this is the spot.
