This place is like a blast from the past. You get your traditional old school 50’s style menu and traditional burgers/ cheeseburgers, fries, icecreams and shakes. I got a mikes burger and added a slice of good old American cheese. The was your typical greasy spoon style burger. The fries were piping hot and you also get a cookie with your basket (both adult and kids baskets). Overall not a bad place it’s just not going to win best burger joint in the Portland metro so don’t expect the food to be life changing! I wish they had half stars because I would give the food a solid 3.5/5…that’s not to say it’s bad but pretty average and quite edible when you’re hungry! It’s also a tad bit on the spendier side. My basket was $13.00ish before tip.

This place is a hidden gem. We must have passed this location a million times a day and decided to stop in. This is hands down one of the best DINER style burgers I’ve tried in a long time. Came with a side of some SLAMMING battered fried mushrooms and their house sauce is delicious.

I love this place… I’ve eaten here since they first opened. I’ve eaten everything except the seafood options (not a big seafood fan) the waiting time is slow but worth the wait. If you have ever been to Europe you’ll never complain about how long its takes for food to show up. I love how crispy their tots ALWAYS are, soft served ice-cream is a must!! Music playing in the background take me back to my childhood so it’s a great relaxing atmosphere. Outdoor sitting for a cool breeze.. they have nugget ice!! I’d recommend everything on the menu you can’t go wrong.

Good overall experience. It appears the cashier is in charge of ice cream which slows the ordering (cross contamination too?). Burgers were flavorful, toppings were not, minimal. Fries are battered, they were good and generous. The time between order and pickup was nearly 15 minutes plus. Seemed long. Service, besides speed, was courteous and with a smile. Will go back.

Mike’s was a lot of fun. Had to wait 40 minutes because it was a Friday night and they were short staffed but the people that worked there were friendly, and the food came out when they said it would.

I’ve been a few times with my work friend and well the meals are adequate I’ve only been really wowed maybe once out of the three times. The last time the whole purpose was to get a milkshake and apparently the system was down yet by the time we were finishing our meals rather than tell us they had fixed it we noticed they were delivering milkshakes and ice cream to everybody that had ordered after us. That was kind of a letdown as far as customer service goes. If you’re looking for a burger and fries not a bad place just expect to wait.

I enjoyed the walk up window and the food was really hot, so it appears made to order. Bought a chocolate/cherry (you can pick two flavors) milkshake after finishing my food so it wouldn’t melt (since it’s summer), and it had pieces of cherry in it! It was really delicious like the rest of the food! They also had a few tables outside by the wall up window, under the tree and some smaller ones in front of the restaurant.

Fun little burger joint. The burgers are great, as good or better than those famous chains you always here about. They will customize the food anyway you would like, which is awesome. The service can be a bit slow and I wish they would reopen the outside ordering windows but overall the food is worth the wait. The 99 cent soft serve ice cream is the hidden little deal here.
