It’s definitely a DINER! but it’s worth it. We stopped by here on sunday for breakfast & it was packed! There were 8 groups in front of us and it took all of 30 minutes to be seated. You can tell people love this place.

We had to wait about 4 minutes because it was packed. Food was great but the customer service was excellent. Everyone went out of their way to speak to you. I ordered the Fried catfish with fries. Food came out quickly and was hot. Catfish was fried to perfection. I highly recommend it. This was a nice after church spot to grab lunch.

First time visiting and my husband and I are sold! The food was delicious and the presentation was appealing as much as the taste. They give you nice sized portions that will leave your dining experience full and satiated. Atmosphere is great and the customer service is stellar. Our server checked in with us and ensured we were okay. The owner even checked in. We were also greeted with smiles before-during-after. Old Route 66 isn’t just about dining in, it’s about dining with family and friends in mind. We’re family now and regulars. Highly recommend!

My wife and I dined here for breakfast (first time). Service was very good, atmosphere was good, place was relatively clean with the exception of the syrup containers – looked like they hadn’t been wiped down in days. My wife got the Hathaway breakfast – said it was okay. I got the Big City breakfast ($1 up-charge for pancake in place of toast). Eggs and pancake were good. Sausage had no flavor to it, the slice of ham was bland as well, seemed like was a processed ham – it lacked flavor. This is the first breakfast diner where we were served boiled potatoes? no hash browns, no fried potatoes. They lacked any flavor – just boiled potatoes. See attached photo. Perhaps it’s me, but for a $13 breakfast plate I expected better quality products. I would not dine here again.

I really like the atmosphere here. Kinda minimalist but with effort in the way the art is displayed and wall painting. Great staff. Only a few people for such a busy place but they kept up well and had a pleasant attitude.

The atmosphere was great and the staff was very accommodating the owner introduced herself and was hustling and bustling and being just as accommodating as her staff. The food was amazing and the portions were exquisite size. Could not have gotten better service or better food in RVA. Thank you Tee.

Small diner with good food. Staff was friendly and quick. The sausage gravy & biscuits was 2 huge biscuits topped with delicious gravy. A must stop! Definitely recommend.

My second time coming here in a week and it was amazing. I’ve tried the salmon cake and catfish so good and flavorful. The tropical mimosa was awesome, pancakes so good. Servers were friendly, food came out hot in a timely fashion. Can’t wait to go again.
