First visit to this masterful Sabatinos remake. Although nit the historic location, Avvio delivers!! From the traditional cheese bread, minestrone, caeser, not to mention the perfecly cooked al dente homemade pastas, all I can say is wow YUM ! Best Montepaluciano wine by the glass highly recommended! Just fantastic! Thank you Avvio team!!

Do you like the Olive Garden? If so, avoid this place at ALL COSTS because it will be forever ruined for you. The restaurant was packed and I never had an empty glass of water. An empty plate is never on your table for more than 3 mins. At one point I thought a dish vanished because I never saw our server grab it. The food was delicious. All of this pales in comparison to the star of the night…dessert. If you like ice cream, the Baked Alaska is the best choice.

I was in the mood for Italian. The atmosphere was welcoming and had a friendly staff. The dining area was a bit dark as it was dinner time, but still could see. Nice dining area. It had a bar too. I ordered takeout. I ordered the egg plant parmigiana and tiramisu. The dinner came with a whole loaf of Italian dinner bread, salad, spaghetti with meat sauce, and soup. I had the minestrone. The food was delicious. The egg plant parmigiana was just right amount of spices in the sauce and cheese. The tiramisu was delicious, and i was able to taste the coffee. Food was good portions. The food was ready under 20 minutes and food was hot.

EXCELLENT! Service, atmosphere and food of course. Since we arrived to Avvio’s the staff was very friendly, the menu is very impressive and easy to navigate we order sangrias and while we were reading the menu the chef send us a complementary pizza bread which was delicious, we ordered shrimp dejonge, shrimp Enzo and richard’s special and for dessert we had cannoli everything was so tasty and big portions. The head chef Joel came out to the dinning room to interact with his customers amd luckily we had the opportunity to talk to him. This is definitely the best Italian restaurant I have been in Chicago . We will definitely coming back.

Went here for dinner last night as we were in the area for a show. We were really pleasantly surprised! The service was excellent and the food was really, really good. I had my leftovers for breakfast this am! We had a good assortment of items between pasta dishes, chicken dishes, soups, salads, etc and everything was fresh and really tasty. Definitely would come back!

I loved everything about my dining experience here. Customer service was top notch! Drinks were wonderful, I had a couple of strawberry martinis, made with a fresh strawberry puree. The appetizers were delightful, escargot stuffed mushrooms, and oysters rockefeller. Entrees were equally as delicious, we all had pasta dishes, one had risotto. The entrees came with soup AND salad…which as you can imagine, delicious! Little touches that go a long with me, is a restaurant that packages your leftovers for you, and doesn’t just toss you some boxes and a bag. Highly recommend!
