I had a truly amazing experience! The service was great, the staff was super friendly and all the food came out super fast. The portions were more than generous and the quality of ingredients was top notch. The restaurant itself was great too with good music! I would recommend to anybody in the area looking to have a great eating experience. As a bonus we were lucky to meet Lulu (the owner ).

My rating refers to the front of the establishment only. I’ve been here three times. They move the register line fast. The place is always very warm. Each time they forget to give you the hot sauce & it’s too watery & not even mildly hot (to me). Last time they didn’t charge me for my drink so I had to stand in line again. They didn’t apologize they are too busy for that! So don’t give there to order if you need to leave within the half hour. I ate in the last two times and the food was not as warm as I expected. The horchata was very weak and not traditional at all. They are too expensive.

I had a pork tamale and a steak tostada. Very basic staples in our cuisine. I’m Mexican. Nothing special just Meh I was hoping for more. I wanted a steak vs the more traditional picadillo tostada to try the steak as it’s usually the same meat in a taco. One thing to note. At the price for one tostada, yes I know it’s the west loop, it could have had a slice of aguacate and crumble queso fresco. No aguacate and it was grated queso blanco. The tamale had too much masa a little over steamed then reheated one too many times plus the pork was odd I was looking for pulled pork in the red salsa but it looked more like puree pork in red salsa . I’ll try again…maybe I came on a bad night.

Food is GREAT! Big portions and a lot on the menu. The only issue I really have is the fact is that the horchata dissapointed me when I realized it wouldn’t taste like the horchata I was used to drinking as a kid although still good. Service was AMAZING and the people there were very nice especially the lady near the area where you pick up your food

Great option on the way to my hotel from Amtrak. Look at the menu next to the cash register to see the options more clearly (the big one over the counter is missing some e details). Burrito was big and yummy and tacos were good too. Frozen margaritas are not huge but plenty of alcohol and good flavors.

I come here all the time after my chiropractor appointments nearby. Good vibes and the steak tacos lulu style are sooooo good. Definitely my recommendation, although the other tacos I’ve tried have been good too. Great spot, I wish it got even more attention because it’s one of my favs! Also, the dog looks so much like my childhood pup so I’ve got an extra soft spot ☺️
