Since the sunny, colorful, carefree days of the early 1970s, eegees has been serving handcrafted sub sandwiches and its now-famous frozen fruit drink, the eegee, in Southern Arizona. In September 1971, the founders pooled their resources to purchase a vending truck and began serving a frozen lemon drink at high schools, sporting events, and concerts in town. The drink was called an eegee. Eventually, the vending trucks were retired as they turned their business into a growing quick-service restaurant chain.
Today, there are 25+ eegees locations in the greater Tucson area, as well as one in neighboring town Casa Grande. The restaurant has also grown its menu and now offers salads, french fries, and signature ranch dressings.
Casual chain serving frozen fruit drinks along with submarine sandwiches, fries & salads. Based on 288 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 3.6 stars. Price $

They were busy but got the orders out quickly. In my opinion, the person working the drive-thru should not also take the orders at the walk-up window. People at the walk-up shouldn’t have to wait for the cars in the drive-thru to be filled. 7pm, they were out of wheat bread.

Not only did it take almost 20 minutes or more to get through the line! I finally get my food and I asked the lady if all my food was in there and she said it should. My FRENCH FRIES were NASTY, I bought a large, regular and bacon ranch FRIES, (which did t have any bacon on it)! The fries were so hard we ended up giving them to the dogs. I’m so sad because it was just built and I was like oh it should be good. Welp guess I won’t be going back.

Seriously have absolutely no idea what people are complaining about. My order was hot and fresh. Hardly any wait on a busy Saturday night. The fries were hot, crispy and tasty. No salt on them that I could taste. However everyone just eats them with ranch. The pastrami grinder was hot & delicious. The staff were all very friendly and happy to serve. They even brought my order to my table. Wasn’t expecting that and it was nice to hear them say thank you again for coming. It’s not often I’m this far south, but will keep it in mind if ever I want a quick tasty bite.

This was my first time eating at Eegee’s, and I liked it. They were busy with a lot of drive-through customers, so my wait was a little long, but I was very impressed with how fresh my sandwich; the original grinder, was when I bit into it. It was delicious. I’ll be back.

I deliver with DoorDash, and every time I have to pick up from this store I absolutely dread it. Every time I come it’s the slowest service out of any place I pick up from in my area! Always between 4 to 6 people working, some on their phones..some just talking and having a good time. There has never been an instance where I’ve came, and it hasn’t taken at least 15-30 minutes for a simple order!

The bread on our sub was dryer than usual. The fries were a bit too over cooked. The service was great and the atmosphere was good as well.

For the second time in a row, I’ve pulled out and around the drive through because I was not greeted or told to hang on due to staff being busy. Just sitting there for 2 minutes straight, all quiet. I swear since new management has taken over, service has gone into the toilet. I know because I used to work for Eegees as a maintenance tech for the buildings. It’s not the Eegees we all used to love.

It’s Eegees can’t go wrong with the food. It’s always good. My only complain is that every time we go through the drive thru during the evening or night time the music is always super loud. They can’t even hear our order because their music is so loud. They were listening to Eminem so loud that the girl taking my order couldn’t hear me. This happened today but it’s definitely not the first time. I’m not against listening to music while you work but it’s not a party.

Here goes. Stopped in on Fri afternoon. My 1st time trying eegees. Ordered sandwich and fries at the walk up window. Asked for well done fries. Cashier says “extra crispy” , I say “Absolutely” . Food arrived just as requested with no issues. Saturday I brought my brother with me for lunch. Went thru drive thru. Ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 orders of well done fries. They read the order back after me saying it 2 times and I said again, “well done fries’. Waited almost 15 minutes in drive thru. An employee comes to the window and reads the order and says “well done fries”. Well out comes the bag, we go back to the house and nope, of course its not what I asked for. Is it just me or do I like to pay for what I want? Is it difficult to get it right? Fries were cold and limp and not cheap. I DO NOT like cold fries. Sandwiches are overpriced. Subway is less expensive and the sandwiches are larger But I dont care for subway. Here is a tip for management. When your employees are taking an order, do not allow them to change focus when doing so.Was a very simple order that did not need me repeating it 3 times. Bad first impressions.
