We always enjoy coming here to eat. Prices are getting out of control though! The place could also be cleaned better. But, the food always shines through! Enjoy

Love this Chang’s location! We’ve made it a weekend tradition to eat here. The food is always perfectly cook and has lots of flavor. Everyone is very friendly, from the front workers to the cooks and even the ones who fill the bar with the veggies. Highly recommend.

So my first time was a couple weeks ago and it wasn’t too good, but I think it was because of ingredients I picked that didn’t quite mix well.

One of the few Buffet style places left. You create your dish and it is cooked up in front of you. All you can eat. Reasonable price. Good service.

We got there and had lunch, we were told about 20 min later that it was last call. If we wanted another plate it was time to get it. I hadn’t even finished my first. We all 10 of us paid for all you can eat but we got one plate.

If you are into this kind of buffet, this is a great place! A couple of years ago I couldn’t say that so this place has put in the work to keep it clean and safe inside and out, the food is kept stocked well, at the right temperature and the buffet is tidied often. The wait staff are eager to get you happily seated and informed about everything and ask you all the necessary questions so when you get back from the buffet, everything that you ordered to go with your meal is either waiting for you at your table or on its way. I loved the last time I was here. Exceptionally staffed and improved dining experience. Will be stopping by again soon for late lunch or early dinner.

Worst birthday dinner IMAGINABLE I just left this restaurant not even ten minutes ago bc my sister in law has a extremely severe allergy to stone fruits and we ordered the Riesling and nowhere on the menu was there a description of the flavors or notes and my sister in law started having a reaction and while the waitress who helped us was absolutely wonderful the female manager came back to our table and immediately starting blaming my sister in law for “not paying attention” to the bottle and said that she should’ve been paying attention or this wouldn’t have happened. She started taking pictures of our food and continued to blame my sister in law for not paying attention (if we had seen anything ab stone fruit we wouldn’t have ordered) and she didn’t offer to help or anything. The tilapia my cousin in law ordered was undercooked and the shrimp I had wasn’t cooked all the way. The food isn’t good, the manager is rude, and the place is a mess. To the waitress that helped us thank you so so much for checking on us and being so thoughtful, but you should find another job hun.

Chang’s is an institution, Mongolian grill style buffet that’s been around the Portland area for as long as I have been alive. This location I believe is family owned and I have seen the same people working there for years. It’s generally well kept up, the service is friendly and prompt, and the ingredients are kept fresh and topped off.

Food was good but you can’t take anything home with you. We wasted so much not knowing this detail. Seems like if you make it then you should be able to take it. We came from seaside to try this place and are very disappointed.

The portland location in the San Rafael shopping mall leaves alot to be desired. The staff is great. They are very accommodating. But the food seems to be thawing in the freezer bins and the cooks gave us a little bit more burn and pieces of other people’s dinner in our plates than the other locations weve been to. The soup was also a little bland compared to the other locations weve been at. However, Its still food and we didnt get sick. So that’s a plus.
