Today was my first time dining at Boil Bay, I was impressed with the interior of the restaurant and its cleanliness. Our server/ waitress, Tracy was pleasant, knowledgeable of the items on the menu and very accommodating.

The staff was nice. Our waitress was attentive. The garlic butter sauce in the boil was great! The drinks were just right. We had a catfish poboy, a combo B and a kids menu shrimp and fries. They have live music. A bit loud.

This place is too cool. The outside does not match the inside! I was kinda expecting a little, no character, strip restaurant, but that was wrong. It’s huge and has plenty of TV’s including one monster, at what I assume is the band stage. The service was polite and attentive. The food was quick and tasty. I had the crawfish in Cajun seasoning.

We’re here now. A family of 8. We had a 7:30 reservation and arrived at 7:22. I had requested a 7:00 reservation but was asked to push it to 7:30 to ensure there would be enough servers. We were not seated until 8:00. We were told it was because the party before us had been here since 4:00 and were unexpectedly still here taking pictures. Okay, fine. Our drink order wasn’t taken for awhile and it took over 20 minutes to receive water. Another ten for drinks. That’s fine. It’s a busy holiday weekend. I did not receive my beer until 9:17 pm when the appetizers came out, well after everyone else had received their drinks. Beer. The one on special. Everyone is enjoying their food in their appetizers. So far I feel horrible because I recommended this place because I’ve enjoyed the Virginia Beach/Norfolk location. Our server has been really inattentive compared to the others in our section. I hate complaining but this is ridiculous. So my mom has had to ask for the manager. Will update this review once we have resolution and our main course.

Service and atmosphere were awesome and food was good with good portions, but the spicy level of the hottest option was nonexistent. Tobasco sauce has more heat. I asked for more spicey sauce on the side and was brought 2 little containers, cayenne pepper and Cajun seasoning powder…

This place was great. Everyone was friendly. The place was clean and the food was FRESH!! I enjoyed some oysters while I waited for my order, they were delicious. The fresh horseradish hit the spot. The ambiance was fun, there was a group of people watching March Madness. My food was really good. Just so fresh, so good. I am definitely a regular customer.

I’d scare you if I shared my total experience after we left. Fried oyster po’ boy smelled and tasted like the turtle exhibit at any aquarium, like it had turned well before the last frost in April. Took only 3 bites and 6 hours and I reconnected both physically and spiritually with my long lost college buddy, the old porcelain princess for what some may have described as a life changing event for both myself and my wife. Never again, folks. Never… Service was good.
