My husband and I had a fantastic dinner at Apollo’s Pizza last night! We hadn’t been there in a while, although we used to order pizza there. So we decided to try the Pasta Night Specials. Every Monday, you get two full-size pasta entrees, each with a salad and garlic bread, for just $25.99. We had the house vinaigrette with our salads, and it was so good. The garlic bread was smothered in just the right amount of butter and garlic, and it was toasted – crispy on the edges, soft inside, such a delight. I had the manicotti, and my husband had the lasagna. Both were delicious! The ingredients were fresh, the garlic was especially fresh, and the lasagna had a spicy kick (maybe from a little fennel?) that really gave it some personality. As for the people who work there, they are always very friendly and professional, and service is fast. I think it was the owner who served us last night, but I’m not sure. We really enjoyed our date night, and we are excited to return another time to try the eggplant parmesan and spaghetti with meatballs. I thought I had taken a photo of the manicotti, but I was so excited, I guess I didn’t.

Great tasting food, and unlike some other places in Richmond, you get a good sized portion of food. I ordered the 6 inch steak sub combo and it was very filling and it came with a healthy amount of fries. The soda size was good too and you get free refills although I didn’t get a chance to refill because I was so stuffed from the food lol. and the cheesecake was really good! Friendly staff too, I was surprised to see the person working at the front counter actually take the time to have a fun conversation with the customers sitting next to me. I think it was about sports but I was too busy watching the Price is Right on their TV lol. Overall great place! I want to try the outdoor sitting area next time.

Another one bites the dust! Like so many restaurants, pre-Covid was amazing, after Covid, not worth it. We used to LOVE this place, but tonight will be our last order. Garlic knots were just bread with nothing but some Parmesan cheese sprinkled on them, no garlic or butter, and not even hot! Pasta was missing ingredients and had no flavor whatsoever.

Apollo’s was amazing! The customer service was spectacular. They were able to accommodate a party of 30 people with ZERO notice. We all had our food within 30 minutes and the staff was so polite. Good customer is hard to come by in this day, but the service we received was EXCELLENT! I would definitely recommend!

My son ate two slices of cheese pizza they heat up in a brick oven and I had the cheesesteak. Pizza was okay, it doesn’t make me want to go out of my way to go back, and same with the cheesesteak. The square slices of american cheese, IMO, was visually unappealing, but the bread was fresha and it was a decent pizza.

After Kickback Jacks turned our party of 40 away. We walked over to Apollo’s and were all welcomed with open FRIENDLY arms! We got our food fast and it was Delicious!!! Thank you Apollo for taking Us and our football team in and treating us with great hospitality
