This is an absolutely fantastic Greek restaurant. They have a simple menu, which made things go very quickly! The lady working behind the counter was easy to get along with and you could tell she took pride in her Greek food! It seemed as most of the business was takeout regulars, it would be a great choice for a quick take out meal. The prices were extremely affordable for a good portion of food. They carried Coca-Cola products. The food came out in under then minutes, while she was able to take three orders; very good customer service! Once I got my platter it was filled with delicious gyro meat with the perfect tzatziki sauce. The salad was very fresh, and had a great dressing on it. The French fries were very good also, but I was stuffed by everything else I barely managed to get down half. I will definitely be back when I’m in town!

The food was awesome and the owner is very kind and happy to attend you. First time I tried their food and my experience was overall good. The place is very quiet and the atmosphere is that one of a small family owned business. The taste of the meat was something new to me but it was very delicious. Try it if you want to experience something new that is a little out of your comfort zone.

… Athenas has always been a good place on the Southside of OKC 2 get a delicious Gyro. My daughter n I would recommend that U try the Kabob platters 2 tho. The freshly made Tabouli & hand rolled Dolmas r worth the money 4 a delicious side. We’ve been coming here 4 more than 35 years. Now that’s a scary thought when U actually see that n writing. U can’t go wrong as long as she’s behind the counter waiting on U.

Athena is an absolute staple to the Southside, no negotiation. If you live close enough and haven’t gone, you must – And if you’re visiting and in the mood for a gyro, stop at Athena. Do yourself the favor.

Ordered thru Door Dash…2 gyros, 2 fries and the cucumber tomato salad. Received dry chunks of chicken wrapped in pita bread, cold kid sized fries, stuffed grape leaves and a salad w/a kabob. Called restaurant and was told that order was given to Dasher by mistake. Told to bring the food back to get my correct order. There was a reason why it was DELIVERED by Door Dash. I had no way of getting it back and asked her to send someone to pick it up. She wasn’t willing and told me that she did’t want to lose money bc it was a large order (over $40). Long story short no one came to pick it up and quite frankly I had concerns that she was going to give it to the customer who ordered it. Risky. She was still out of money if she did the right thing and prepared a fresh order for the other customer. This was my first and last time ordering from them.

Probably the best Greek place around. It’s good, you’ll enjoy it if you’re a gyro fan. It’s not a very fancy place just more of a local owned gig but I recommend giving it a try. The seasoning they use for the French fries is really good.

Picked up an order here, watched the lady touch the food she was making with NO gloves while she was making the food then touched something else then back to finishing making the food. Never ate here and won’t! When making food, should never touch anything else before finishing. That is cross contamination.

I took a chance and ordered the Gyros Platter. Even though I arrived an hour before closing, everything was enjoyable. I even ordered an gyro to go. Aiz, my server and owner I believe, was very friendly and the place was clean. Definitely recommend!

$9 bucks for a salad (looks like something that came out of a bag) it was a small portion and meat was not not even warm.
