For Sarasota standards, SUPER impressed!! And finally a nicely decorated warm bistro to enjoy an extensive Venezuelan menu. Pabellón criollo is a staple, rice was cooked to perfection as well as plantains, shredded meat not soggy, watery and with not too much condiment, just great! If you’ve been to Doggies in Miami, this one is way better! The black beans really need some work though! Other than that it was amazing and I would come back again and again for the pabellón! Cachapa is portioned perfectly, tequenos are not greasy, and frescolita was nice and cold. The dulce de leche marquesa super tasty, kind of small but you can tell it’s freshly made. Overall this place is wonderful, welcoming, tasty and restaurant itself looks clean. Will come back to try other things!

Love it love it! Food is amazing. Went with husband and we tried and split a breakfast arepa and the fried green plantain sandwich with pulled chicken. Could not finish because it was huge. Serenaded by music from the 80’s Wonderful way to spend lunch time. Will be back and definitely recommend.

Oh my gosh!!! That was amazing food! I haven’t been to Venezuela since 1998, the food immediately took me back! It was all so good, especially the plantains!! I’ve tried cooking them myself and when I make them, they are awful, but these plantains were soooooo good they just melted in your mouth!!! I wished I lived closer so I can eat here more often! Can you open another location in Venice please?! I’ll eat here now every time I’m in Sarasota! Thank you all so much!! This food moved me!

Me and my husband have been branching out to other types of cuisine… There’s only so much bbq, Mexican, and burgers a person can eat before being very bored. We came for something new and because of the 4.9 rating. It did not disappoint!
