Super fun place in Old Town, we’ve gone here a lot after playing volleyball at North Avenue beach. Definitely get the wings here, but everything comes in great portions for the price, and it’s all delicious. Tend to get a little overwhelmed during the busy portions of the evening, but still great service!

TERRIBLE SERVICE! We were a group of 7 and were seated at our table. No one acknowledged our group after that. We waited for about 20 minutes and no one even offered us water. Given the size of the place ( it was a small place) we were in the middle of two tables that were being served and might have been the largest group at the restaurant. We were looked over on countless occasions. Felt discriminated and left. No one said anything as we walked out.

So me and my boyfriend visited this place 12/6/21 around 9:30 and the service was still great. I can’t remember our server’s name, but as soon as we came in the bar, we were greeted and sat down with cups of waters. After about a minute of looking over the menu, we decided to order two one-pound orders of wings. This bar is known for their wings, so that’s what we came for. We decided to order the Sriracha Soy, Sweet Bourbon, Parmesan-Garlic and Nashville Hot. The Sriracha and Bourbon wings DID NOT disappoint ☺️ Not only were the wings very crispy and well done (just how I like it) but the sauces were executed perfectly. On the other hand, the Parmesan and Nashville hot wings were our least favorite. They just didn’t pack enough flavor for our liking. However, with the help of great service and great cocktails (pineapple mojito and a long island), I will still give this place 5/5 stars. I look forward to returning, and one day I hope to see the chef add lemon pepper wings. Thanks again Woodie’s

Was really excited to try this place but ultimately left disappointed. The service was not great – had to flag people down to get their attention. I’m also not sure if the “buffalo” I got was even buffalo, or maybe I was given the wrong flavor? But the sauce tasted a little burnt and wasn’t as traditional as I’d expect a buffalo to be. We also got Korean style and they were just okay. For what it’s worth the wings themselves were good and crispy the sauce just wasn’t there.

Drove nearly 900 miles to attend an event upstairs at Woodies. It was well worth the drive. LOL. Friendly staff great food fun atmosphere. Looking forward to the next event however I think I will fly next time.

Came in for a guys night to watch the NFL Draft and had a GREAT night. The bar had a good energy (we sat on the first floor) and a fun crowd (but not too crowded). Our server Britney went above and beyond. With soo many sports bar options in the neighborhood Woodie’s remains consistently solid. Cheers to Britney and the staff!

BEST BUFFALO WINGS IN CHICAGO ALERT. There’s a new king in town! Woodies GM is the driving force behind this. Their wing prep process is intricate and they got the brass in experimenting with some pretty out there sauces. The GM and his kitchen has a passion unmatched for wings, my group of wing bloggers were BEYOND impressed. Easily the front runner for 2023 Wing of the year! Side note: hospitality industry is definitely on display here. Great industry experts running this establishment.
