Cancro Special
Provolone, roast beef and pepperoni. In the summer of ’74, the Pepsi delivery man requested a curious combination of provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni. Peter Cancro’s brother, John, liked the sandwich so much, he gave it the family name and a menu spot of its own.

Terrible restaurant. Ice machine is still broken apparently from the review I see five months ago. Bathrooms were disgusting, and considering we got there about 15 minutes after open I’d say it’s safe to assume they’re always filthy. Workers were obviously put out by the fact we showed up and they had to make food. We love Jersey Mike’s near home and anywhere we’ve been, just hit this one on the way back from Florida.

I enjoy the sandwiches at Jersey Mike’s and have eaten many times at a number of locations. This location has a more small town flavor than others I have visited, and the sandwich preparation was a little slower than I am accustomed. Even so, the sandwich (#13 Italian, Mike’s Way! plus brown mustard and pickles on Rosemary parmesan bread) was true to form in every way and delicious. I will definitely dine here again when I am in the area.

The Cullman, Al location on Cherokee Ave is a train wreck!!!! The three guys that were working there were rude and you could tell they only cared about getting a paycheck. The location was dirty, the A/C was turned down so it was hot inside. I asked if the A/C was broke and the employee was rude and said, “No, I’m just not turning it down.” No Ice at the location either! I asked about Ice and the employee, again being rude said, “No, and they won’t fix it either.” We got our food to go and when I got home, out order was conpletely wrong. I’ve been to other locations that were clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was amazing. This location is by far the absolute toilet of Jersey Mike’s locations!
