Friendly atmosphere, sides and hush puppies are fantastic. The pork BBQ on the other hand is horrible. Tried the minced and pulled. Minced was like ham chunks in water and the pulled was basically sliced and had the taste and texture that it was boiled. No way it is slow smoked out front! Will stick to smoking my own. At least with it I can see the smoke ring.

Service was outstanding. Our server, I think her name was Harley, was great. She deserves more than 5 stars. The food, however, was not the greatest. While I’m spoiled by SC BBQ, this BBQ was closer to “mass production” BBQ. Price was great though.

Very nice service, but to describe the food as Absolutely disgusting doesn’t quite say it. Our meals had a very strong taste of vinegar in everything (ribs, pulled pork, even the sides)… I must say though that it was packed , so it could be just the way people enjoy bbq in the town.

Service was good. Visiting VA and decided to stop here for some BBQ, overall the food was below average. Ribs were over cooked and over-seasoned, sliced pork looked unusually old, grey, fatty, dry, and overall extremely unappealing, crinkle cut fries seemed like something you’d buy frozen from the grocery store, coleslaw was dry and the only existing flavor was vinegar. Hush puppies were average, they had a savory element but no sweet, onion rings were over fried, fried okra was bland and textureless. The food seemed frozen and/or like it had been kept out too long, lacking a fresh taste or look. Atmosphere is okay, somewhat cramped & would recommend takeout, pricing is good for the area.

I’m only giving it one star because the taste of the food was bland. It was not finger licking good. Posted here are the buffalo wing type wings; spicy but no sauce. The yams was not flavorful. The Mac and cheese was awful. Maybe I just wanted a more soul food type of taste. I DONT RECOMMEND.

Great smoked pork and a really good house BBQ sauce. Side dishes were all disappointing. It is obvious that a lot of time and care go into the meats. Some more effort in making sides would make it a great place to eat.

Stopped here for 1st time. Small place with friendly staff. Fried catfish/shrimp platter was on point. Ribs were juicy. Hush puppies were great. Sides were just fair. Would definitely eat here again if in the area.
