Highly recommend! From the beginning, the service was welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. I honestly appreciated that the menu wasn’t full of 100 things to choose from, a smaller menu is much easier to deal with and choose from.

Absolutely amazing experience here. Our server (Alex I think??) was amazing and very accommodating and awesome to my daughter. She recommended the kids ramen and gave her some chopstick helpers and she absolutely loved it. I had the tonkatsu ramen with some sesame chili and it was absolutely delicious. This is probably my favorite Ramen San location!!

Extremely good ramen, never dined in before but ordered many times from the other locations. Great service and nice atmosphere. Will definitely come back.

Nice new place, super friendly service. Tonkotsu ramen broth needs to be more flavourful, it was rather bland. Bao bun was good. The mini donuts with miso caramel were a bit underdone, the dough in the middle was still raw, taste is super good. Please change the music.

Recommend: the ramen was good, had the sumo and the fatty ramen. Sumo had a lot of ramen, not as loaded with toppings as menu or even photos makes it appear, there’s actually very little toppings on top – I would not get it or recommend this. The fatty ramen – It was simple but had really good flavor and I would definitely get this again.

First, this page is a weird fusion of the old place at this address and ramen san. This is a relatively new place and they don’t do crab legs lol. I Enjoyed the fried chicken BAO (good zing of horseradish). And the tonkotsu ramen has the most glorious prepared egg. I’d eat a bowl of those. Service was very friendly and attentive. My only knock was the super loud music. Yes I’m old. Really good food though.

walked in on a whim because my partner and I wanted Ramen. We ended up sitting at the bar because the wait for a table was so long, which may have been the best ‘decision’ of the night. Ryan, the bartender, was extremely helpful, personable, and knowledgeable; and that seemed to be the standard of the serves. The food was rich and it was made clear from the get go that any substitutions could be made for any of the ramen ingredients. The first thing we were asked was about allergies and food sensitivities, which made choosing easier and less stressful.

Excellent addition to the Halsted street restaurants. Had lunch there and the special was incredible. Friend had the express lunch option which I will definitely be getting next time. Excellent value, drink options (and non alcoholic options) we’re refreshing for summer. Scheduling my next date night already.

Ramen-San is easily a strong contender for best ramen in Chicago. The menu is kept fresh and everything hits. The karaage chicken bites were so delicious it’s unreal. Portions are big and prices were very reasonable. Where Ramen-San has the edge up is on service. Staff were friendly and attentive. Their suggestions made our trip truly fantastic. Great decor, great drinks, great staff, great ramen.
