Born of the Black Sea. Made in Chicago.

Smoky, salty, sour, sweet … these flavors weave the story of our grandparents; the food memories that tie us together as a culture, a nation, and as a city.

We create these stories with food and drink from our past, fashioning a future around our table, and over our bar. Let us tell the story of who we are as a community—at brunch, lunch and dinner.

This is a love note to Chicago, and all of the immigrants who built our city.

The happy hour is amazing here it is a must do in Chicago for sure. I ordered the “they*” $19 for a DOZEN oysters AND a glass of sparkling wine. The oysters were extremely fresh in flavor and the wine was well paired and oysters came with nice fresh crackers.

I can’t remember the last time I ate at a restaurant that had so many things I love, an atmosphere that was palpable even on the sidewalk outside, and had such friendly staff of all kinds. My partner and I more than enjoyed the oysters, chef’s plate with delicious smoked fish, a “shrub” that featured complex and delicious flavors (which they made non-alcoholic for me), and ice cream made there. In fact, they make most everything from scratch and do so with a foodie’s sense of flavor magic.

Very romantic spot with excellent menu. Stuff is super friendly and helpful, walked us through caviar plate and shared details how it is made etc. house infused vodkas are a gem – we liked the one with beets the most! Also smoked sturgeon is a must try!

Updated review: After having been for brunch, I would highly recommend going. Their menu has evolved and everything was great. The only downside to my visit during brunch was that they forgot about our oyster order. It didn’t come out until we were finished with our meal. Otherwise, everything was chef’s kiss. I highly recommend going for brunch.

I enjoy different but this was a bit more than I anticipated. More, yet less. The oysters were good. Only get 1 egg roll. They are humongous! Tasty though. The burger had to be returned because the “medium” was too red. The fries were thoughtlessly prepared and returned. I didn’t get a picture of dessert, as it wasn’t “photo ready” but the cookie skillet is worth ordering! A neighborhood haunt enjoyed by the neighborhood!

Stellar restaurant. Try the August tasting menu! The caviar service is out of this world and the oysters, both raw and fried, go so well with it. My other favorite dishes were the lamb dumplings, melon with goat cheese, and the finale ice cream. The ice cream is made from sour cream and cheddar ruffles with caviar on top and it’s one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Can’t recommend this place enough.

What? You haven’t been here yet? Not for dinner, Happy Hour (best in the City), a casual hang, brunch, a specialty dinner— nothing? You’re missing out. Wide variety of menu items all done well plus different levels and species of CAVIAR! Interesting wines, boutique vodkas and cocktails. Outdoor dining when seasons permit. Love this place and you will too.

Absolutely fabulous! Every single thing was perfect… oysters fresh and briney. Served with beetroot cocktail sauce, Steak tartar with sesame leaves, the deviled eggs…oh the deviled eggs! Can’t leave out the homemade pickles and duck egg rolls. The champagne and wine selected for us paired perfectly… so much more….Fresh, imaginative, beautiful and oh so delicious. Tiffany and Guy are artists of food. Don’t miss this gem if you are in Chicago.

Happy Hour menu is legit!! Came for the oysters, thoroughly enjoyed the chicharron with paddlefish roe and cocktails. Their outside patio was nice and spacious. Service was excellent as well. Must try!
