Savor is not a restaurant, but a classroom where students attending the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute learn to work in a restaurant setting. Our hospitality students are your front of house staff, including servers, bartenders, and host. Our culinary students are working on the line cooking your food to order, working all stations in the kitchen. Our baking and pastry students are preparing and plating your desserts. Tried this place based on excellent reviews and of course support the culinary school and students. The 3 course menu costs $35, with adequate choices of appetizer/salad, main dish and dessert. This is an excellent deal considering that the quality of the food is comparable to a high-end restaurant. The service is friendly and professional. Definitely recommended. Reservation a must.

Great experience at the Niagara Culinary Institute for a moderate fixed price of $35/person. My wife had one the best risottos in years!

Humble and decadent at once, a culinary school that serves the best plates in town, with earnest care and memorable flavors and textures. A variety of beers and spirits to wash down carefully constructed prix fixe sequences. Relaxed vibes for formal food, come early at peak times, there are capacity limits. Still thinking about my meal weeks later. A gem of Niagara.

Best food I’ve had in years! Especially for the price! $35/person for an Excellent 3 Course Meal!! I highly Recommend!! Check the hours, not open everyday. Culinary Student Ran Restaurant! Very Awesome! I was blown away with the quality of the food!

This is part of the Niagara Culinary Institute, and serves lunch and dinner 3 days a week (for now). Menu is prix fixe, and very reasonable at $30 for a dinner of salad, entree and dessart. Cocktails available at the bar, beer & wine at the table. Started with a bread plate, 3 types of rolls, with pickles, hummus, & maple butter as condiments. Chose the bruleed pear & walnut salad, spouse had beets & tahini salad (could have used just a little more tahini, in his opinion). Entrees were shrimp cavatelli and (panko?) breaded walleye; both were excellent! Had 4 choices for dessert, opted for a lemon blueberry bombe (picture attached) & a vegan berry tart/galette. Finished and enjoyed every bite. Did fill out the survey, as this provides info as to how the students did. Wish it was open on weekends, too.

My husband & I went to this wonderful restaurant on our recent visit to Niagara Falls. The food was exceptional. The young servers we had ( Samantha & Lily) were just delightful to converse with. We went two nights in a row since the quality was so good. I highly recommend this restaurant on your next visit to the area. Thank you for sharing your innovative recipes.

My husband and I had a nice dinner at Savor where the service was excellent and you could tell there was a lot of attention paid to the quality of the food. Our server was very friendly and even helped with accommodating my food preferences/dietary restrictions. Definitely be patient as the food and experience is worth it! The gnocchi was LITERALLY melt in your mouth and the desserts were carefully crafted. Nice drink selection too — if we were locals we’d be regulars here!

Hands down the best place to eat in the tourist / downtown area. Everything else is mostly friend / junk food. This food is incredible. They also have healthy options which is hard to find nearby. The dinner menu is a steal at a $35 prix fix and they even have a 3 course kids menu for $8. Food is cooked by students from the culinary school and the wait staff are also students from the culinary school. So worth it. I LOVED the strawberry salad and bucatini puttanesca.

This is an interesting concept. The restaurant is basically a hospitality and culinary hands-on classroom for students at Niagara County Community College. Because it’s a school program, prices for a fixed price meal here are less than what other restaurants would charge. But, there’s a downside to this. It’s a very hit or miss experience. You may get lucky and get a good meal for the money. Or you may end up with food that’s barely edible (or even gross). Even if you play it safe by ordering something familiar that you’d normally order elsewhere, it may still be a severe disappointment. Even the pub style lunch menu items here can be a huge disappointment. Food that’s difficult to mess up can easily be messed up here. That’s the risk you take by eating here. As far as the service, remember that these are students who are still learning, so don’t expect much. Sometimes, however, you may get wowed by a student server who is so impressive that you’ll wish that tipping was allowed here. All in all, I have to rate this a two because when the food is bad, it’s really bad. I’ve tried it a few times and am done coming here. But, I wouldn’t discourage others from giving this place a try. You’re supporting the education of NCCC students after all and are also supporting the presence of a nicely maintained building in Niagara Falls that might otherwise be vacant.
