My wife and I ate there last night. Let me tell you some of the good the bad and the food poison. The night started off well enough. We were looking for a restaurant to eat. It was our first and only night in Fairbanks and for some reason we settled on this establishment. The decore was fine but a little weird but that’s not here nor there. The wall with a rug stapled to it was odd. So my wife and I usually order the calamari wherever we go. It’s our comfort food. Then she orders the Garlic Prawns and I go with the Gyro. The calamari comes first. Oddly enough it comes topped with big chunks of white onions chopped up on top of it. (not really something you see come topped with calamari) So we shrug it off and try to push forward. The tentacles were passable but the rings were just rubber. Chewy and hard to get down. Then my wife got her salad. Not really much there to complain about as it was a house salad with dressing. Few pieces of bad lettuce but you tell yourself “It’s a remote(ish) area” and go about shrugging it off… Thinking that the calamari would be the worst of the night…. Then the entrees come and boy were we wrong. Both of our entrees come with side” potatoes, some kind of candied carrots and rice. I take two bites of my gyro and notice there’s no cucumber or feta on my Gyro and a few forks of each side and flag my waitress down. She asks if everything is ok. I brought up there’s no feta on the Gyro and she says “that’s how it’s made” here. Now I don’t know how to explain how the texture of what that gyro was other than to compare it to a truck stop microwaved bean burrito. Gyros have a zip of tzatziki with the toughness of the lamb and beef mixture and the crunch of cucumber with the fresh tomato. This was eating a wet soggy pita, tzatziki and microwaved meat. My wife who saw me throw in the towel after two bites of the main course asked me if I wanted to try hers. I bit into one of the shrimp I immediately spit it out. It was tougher than the pre-mentioned calamari. The sugared up carrots and the bland potatoes be damned. The barley warm rice is what caught my tongue. The table runner quickly saw our plates set aside and took them from our table and our pleasant server came and asked us if we wanted deserts. We promptly said no and without our plates in front of us to discuss our completely dissatisfying meal we paid our tab and got out of there. Tipped accordingly for service. Then about an hour out on the town our stomachs started hurting. Funny in recollection I said “I hope I could throw this all up to enjoy the rest of our night” BOY WAS I WRONG. We promptly went back to the hotel and did just that. Except there wasn’t the enjoyment of the night. I can explain to you in grave detail but I think you’ll catch the drift. It was the rice that did us in but there was nothing pleasant left to throw up. Honest and real review.

Really great service. The atmosphere and decor are on point, down to the bathroom porcelain. Seems pretty busy and popular for group dinners so make a reservation if you can.

We had a great visit. Food was excellent. Bit of a long wait but our busboy made up for it. He was cute and visited with our granddaughter, even brought her crayons. He was very personable and professional. Would have loved for him to be our actual waiter. Wish we had gotten his name. Definitely made our experience great

Food was really quite good. We got the spanakopita and it was pretty tasty. Also the spaghetti and meatballs were delish. Our server was pretty bad even though there seemed to be plenty of other servers throughout the restaurant. We are super forgiving of things but it seemed as if our server didn’t want to work that day. The host was super friendly and checked on us a couple times. Even a few of the other servers checked on us as well. Maybe just an off day for our person. Hope she was able to turn it around.

Great dining experience! I visited from out of town based on a recommendation and was not disappointed! Kathy who took my reservation and greeted me was so personable, and my server Gordon was friendly, funny, and had great recommendations. I ordered the “surprise wine,” Greek salad, and honey cream halibut- delicious!

We had to ask for the kids lemonade multiple times. It felt like there needed to be more servers during events like prom night. We sat for over 2.5 hours mostly waiting. Bit the swordfish was fantastic. The sides could have been better. Rice and potatoes felt a little small town diner-ish. The atmosphere was lovely.

Always wanted to try this place since I arrived in town. Everyone talks about their food, so you know your boy needed to get some. Was super excited to get some Greek food and a gyro plate. Welp the tzatziki is really good, the gyro while flavorful, wasn’t cut from a spitz and you could taste it was dry and reheated on a grill which made me sad. The potatoes, carrots and rice were pretty good. I was just looking forward to spitz cut lamb mix.
