Ordered appetizer plate for party. The dolmas were the worst I have ever had. Seriously, canned are better. The Spanikopta was clearly made with frozen spinach and feta that could have been tofu it was so flavorless. Do not order food from this store. You can find better and cheaper in the frozen isle of the grocery store. Also what were the sauces? They sure weren’t tzatziki. Nasty.

It’s a great spot for a sit down dinner with friends! The atmosphere is lively, the food is fresh, and the service is amazing. I love the crab-artichoke dip with bread, the grilled octopus with balsamic vinaigrette, and they have a special on mussels this month. It’s a little more on the expensive side so I can’t come too often but definitely come with friends to enjoy a good Greek meal!

I’ve been going here for 9 years now. It’s my favorite Greek Restaurant in the east bay. I love their Gyro Stacker. A pile of meat on pita and steak fries with tzatziki, tomatoes and onions. Delicious! Also recently discovered that their Rib Eye is very good!!! Cute vibe inside and it’s in the heart of Grand Lake/Lakeshore’s commercial district.

Lovely dinner out with family. Very comfortable ambiance. Easy to hold a conversation. I liked the Greek decor. Very attentive service with good recommendations. And the food was delicious. I had the roasted chicken and it was tender inside and crispy outside. The lamb shank was large enough to share. The salmon was cooked well and had good flavor. The fried cheese with crispy bread was excellent. Next time I’m in the neighborhood I would return.

Good for one time but not recommended for a second time order. I ordered Chicken Kebob(Souvlakia) and the kebob was actually good but had some uncooked chunks which show chef’s ignorance. The major issue was that they to not add any condiment or some taste making salad or sauces in the box, like other Chicken Kebob combos do, that makes it less desirable. Hummus was way below mediocre and did not taste like a chef’s proud prep, it was more like made by a daily wage labor in the kitchen who can barely read recipe written in English. Portion was also small for $9.00

Since I lived in Albania for my first 18 years I have basically grown up eating delicious food from the perfect combination of cuisines such as Turkish, Italian and Greek! So, i am well familiar with Greek food as we have a lot gyros, greek salad, mousaka, their pies and so much more in Albania too. I loved the Greek food festival this year so I was very excited to try out Ikaros on grand ave with my in laws who were travelling from India 🙂
