Located down an ‘alleyway’ lined with string lights and shared with a tavern this place offers indoor and outdoor seating. The ordering line gets to be quite long and is worth the wait, they will cut and weigh the meat fresh in front of you. Sides are ordered last and are served in front of you as well then you pay for it all and they hand you the food, no additional waiting required. Sauces/utensils/water is all self serve and there is also a full service bar inside (the bar transactions are separate from the food). The meat is so good there is no sauce needed, highly recommend this place!

I really dug this place. Great barbecue and I’m really picky about barbecue. Don’t sleep on the elote, it’s the best I’ve had in Chicago hands down. The ambience is perfect; I love the big communal tables and string lighted ceiling. Well done Green Street, well done.

I think this place is a must if you’re in downtown or near Greektown of Chicago. There’s plenty of room and the ambient is great for a solo visit or a company. I loved my pork ribs, gotta be honest with you. I almost always rate service with 4 stars instead of 5 because truly there are not many places deserving 5 ⭐️

They have great smoked meat, and the sides are also tasty. It is sold by the pound so it can get a little pricey, but it’s worth it. It is located on 112 green street. They have Ramen downstairs. I haven’t had it yet but I’ll post about it when I go. There is also a coffee shop called sawada upstairs in the same location.

In town on business, and came here on the recommendation of a co-worker. Kind of figured it would be like every other barbecue joint have been to. I couldn’t have been more wrong. This place was out of control good. I got the cheddar jalapeno links, the mac salad, pickled veggies, and the cornbread. The sausages had to weigh at least 1 lb each. The mac salad, and pickled veggies came piled, and the cornbread was at least 8″x4″… This was probably the best barbecue I’ve ever had. No debate. I’ve never been so happy, to get so much more food than I expected, in my life. The bartenders were great – great recommendations for beer, great to chat with. The crew behind the meat counter was great as well. Super friendly and every recommendation was spot on. Price point was perfect too.

One of the best bbq spots in the city. The atmosphere is nice. The brisket, pulled pork, and ribs are my go to. Make sure to go before 5pm because they do ran out of stuff especially the brisket. Not really fan of the sides. A bit pricey but you are in West Loop.

Loved the food and the atmosphere…felt like I was in a pub in Ireland. Food portions are good and the meat is cooked really well. I would recommend you to go in big groups so that you can try everything because everything in so good.

I went to Green Street with friends from out of town. It has such a cool vibe and I can see it being a great spot for patio dining when it gets warmer outside. I’d suggest going there early, as we went 1h before closing and they were already out of a lot of the food options.
