Went here with my fiancé for date night. The artwork near the entrance is quite stunning, and it’s certainly something to see a drying cabinet with cured meat on full display near the bar. The food was delicious with rather large portions, and our server was both polite and attentive. Also home to some of the smoothest desserts we have ever enjoyed. Would definitely recommend this place to fellow Daytonians!

I had heard great things about Corner Kitchen and was eager to try it out, especially when I saw walleye on the menu for restaurant week. Appetizer: chutney, goat cheese and spiced honey on focaccia was good, but their was only one small piece of bread on a large plate and the bread was burnt (well beyond “grilled”). Market greens salad: phenomenal–house dressing was perfect! Tempura walleye: not good–the breading to fish ration that was too high, the fish was almost mushy and lacked flavor. Lemon marscapone dumpling: okay. Overall: a disappointing restaurant week offering‐‐perhaps their regular menu is better.

We opted for outdoor seating. Server was quick in serving and hospitable. Food was good. Salmon was a bit salty. Shrimp were too good, and were also perfectly cooked. Overall tasty food. Indoor seating looked very pleasant.

‘‘Twas date night for my wife and I. We’re always in the mood for a finer dining experience that we can’t have just anywhere. This did not disappoint. The food was solid for the price. It was well executed. The cocktails were not overly inventive and the draft list was modest. It was very loud for a weeknight and a table for two was very tight. I’m glad we’re relatively small. Otherwise, we would have been uncomfortable.

You HAVE TO come here. Great atmosphere, kind staff members, and excellent food. They have indoor and outdoor seating. You can make a reservation online! Paid parking is right across the street, and you can walk down the street and see all the cute local Dayton shops after you’re done eating! If it sounds good to you, it will be good. Get everything.

I had the Roasted Pepper Pasta. The sauce tasted like tomato paste and Cilantro. No other seasoning. The tempura mushrooms were ok. For dessert had the strawberry balsamic cheesecake. The strawberry topping tasted like jam. If there were fresh Strawberries in there I couldn’t find a single one.

Today was my first time visiting Corner Kitchen! I was told by friends who visited in the past that it has changed a lot. When myself and my plus one arrived at the restaurant we were asked if we had visited since the recent “revamp” by person at the door, as well as our wait staff. They informed us that there had been many changes over the last few months. We were told that they had a completely different menu and team than they had in the past.
