Food was awesome! Was in Cleveland and wanted bbq, and this looked like the juiciest meat in town…. Definitely delivered on the meats!! Food came out in a good time and was fire Not a dry piece of meat in sight! Yams were great, mac was great, and cornbread was nice and moist. Highly reccomend

Id give 5 stars for the food we ordered, everything was fresh and seasoned well. The atmosphere was quiet and we enjoyed the music. We didnt order any drinks here, so since this is a bar Id have to know what the drinks are like before i give another star. We will return and make sure its worth the hype!!

Wow!! What an excellent experience start to finish! First time going there and the food was amazing!! Greens were excellent, mac n cheese is sooo yummy! The fried perch was seasoned to perfection. Brisket was so tender, the coleslaw..IMPRESSIVE!! Everything was amazing!! Def will be back!!

I recently visited.the hostess was very pleasant.I ordered the SNACK PACK. It came with fries 2 wings and two rib bones. I also ordered the corned beef sandwich with fries. The price wasn’t bad. The SNACK PACK was disappointing my fries and ribs were packed in puddles of sauce. The ribs were nice and meaty but tasted like lighter fluid or something! My two wings were served in a big puddle of sauce. The battered wings were so soggy! The sandwich wasn’t bad. The fries were just too soft. Those potatoes need to be chilled before they are fried.

Every time I come here the food is delicious and fresh !!! I use to love that they had turkey ribs but I guess they no longer serve that but we ordered the orange roughy and shrimp . We had mashed potatoes( first time trying it and we didn’t really like those ) but we ended up getting more greens and Mac and cheese ! We also got sweet chi chili wings which were good as well. We shared everything lol . Definitely recommend this place . The waiters are always nice too.

Great service but The mac and cheese and greens should be taken off the menu. The greens weren’t seasoned and the mac and cheese tasted like it wasn’t baked, It had a weird consistency. Honestly, Zanzibar has better sides. Other than that, the food is okay but It’s definitely not the same as It used to be. 🙁

My husband and I didn’t plan to eat here but we could smell the food from the street so we thought we would give it a try. I ordered brisket with collard greens, and sweet potato casserole. My hubby got Polish boy. My dish came with corn bread. The brisket was juicy and the spicy BBQ sauce had the right amount of heat. The service was a bit slow but it was just one lady to do everything from taking order, bartending, etc. Overall we liked it here. I hope you give them a try.

I got rib tips, wings, and brisket. The serving of brisket was small for the price. Everything was tender, wings were cooked perfect. Greens still had a bite, but flavorful, yams were and Mac were delicious. Cornbread was hard on top, but moist and sweet on the inside. I’d go back now that I know what I’d try again

Our server was very nice and friendly . I ordered the ribs and they were tough, cold, and it was obvious that they were not smoked. . My friend ordered catfish and he didn’t receive catfish but a substitute. This was a special occasion Father’s Day and I’m quite disappointed. Last year I came to this location and the food was outstanding . Very disappointed!

Let me start off by saying the hostess was nice and that’s about as good as it gets. The sense of urgency in this place is none. We’re out of town and taking a stroll down the street and stumbled upon this. Weren’t offered anything to drink other then water. Ordered hush puppies and smoked wings to start. The hush puppies were good and the wings were not smoked unlike the menu says and 2 were close to being raw. Now the main dishes 3 chicken sandwiches that were just crockpot chicken doused in bbq sauce. The brisket sandwich was closely the same. Now here’s where the story gets worse.. and is no fault of the restaurant but they didn’t do anything to help either. There was an armed robbery happening on the front patio where the workers disappeared and left the customers to fend for themselves which I should’ve taken it upon my self to disappear when the check came but I didn’t and still paid the full meal. Thanks for concern and care I’ll be sure to avoid the whole area next time.
