Genesis, not sure I spelled her name right, was subbing at the Starbucks sat the Cornerstone Store Kroger from Austin Landing on Sunday, May 22, 2023 & the only one working a very busy Starbucks. She is GREAT! She was smiling while preparing coffee drinks, food, interacting with customers & cleaning as she worked. The Cornerstone Starbucks is not open all the time and I really appreciated her being there today. We should all have her energy and attitude. I truly appreciate hard workers like her … she will go far in whatever she does.

The lady who took my order seemed to be having a bad day but that’s no ground for her to be rude. When I got to the front I ordered my drinks and tried my best to be polite bc like I said I noticed she was having a bad day. She seemed to be irritated I got 4-5 drinks and it was just her working she seemed like she was behind in stuff the pastries weren’t even out yet. We waited 10 minutes at the drive thru for a hot latte. Our order was one hot and one cold. The cold one came out right away but we could tell they weren’t working on anything hot. When they realized they didn’t have our full order, they continued to make other drinks. We got an apology. Think it was new people at the drive thru.

I ordered an iced London Fog, a standard café drink. It’s a very simple Earl Grey tea latte with 3 pumps vanilla. The barista told me she didn’t know how to make the drink and asked her co-worker, to which they said it’s milk, vanilla, and black tea. I had reiterate it was specifically Earl Grey tea. She said “Okay, it’ll take 10 minutes to steep, is that okay?” I said yes and paid for my drink. Spent $7 and got lukewarm sugary vanilla milk. I went back to talk to get an actual tea latte and ended up getting a wishy-washy “Oh you said you didn’t want to wait, I don’t know how to make that, It’ll take 10 minutes if you want me to remake it again but I don’t know how to make it.” Had to tell her how to make it once more, and said thank you. Not one single apology from her, instead tried to argue and say I said I was fine with normal black tea and it being not very strong because “I was in a rush.” After I said I could wait. I got the remake and it was Earl Grey tea with a minuscule amount of milk and ice in a hot drink, which enviably melted and made even more watery. Incredibly frustrated, not coming back.

My wife and I have been to this Starbucks many times while shopping. JAKE IS EXCELLENT! He is very polite, even when busy. Many of times it has just been him running the register as well as making drinks. He also ensures our drinks are correct and up to company standards.

Pretty nice, convenience Starbucks inside of Kroger. Gets a lot of local business from the next door apartments and hotels. They offer a lot of types of coffees and offer pretty good service. They have other things here such as bagged coffee, sealed waters, and coffee mugs to purchase as well.

This Starbucks is hit or miss. This is the second time they have messed up my drink. I ordered a Cinnamon Almond milk Macchiato, the drink was made with crushed ice not cubed, I think the espresso was stirred in and not sitting on top of the milk and no caramel sauce was on top. The drink didn’t taste good. I’m not sure why it was made differently. Every Starbucks chain should be consistent in their drinks. Drinks should be the same every time.
