Food was not the quality as used to be. May be picky, but you can tell that the coleslaw was pre-made and and wasn’t very good, LJS used to have the best coleslaw that was made there.

I went here a year ago after my mom finished at the doctor’s office in Salem. Maps told me it was open until late but when we got there, only the sign was standing and the building was gone. Fast forward a year later, and I realized the building was not permanently closed but remodeled. The service was fast, servers friendly, and I walked out with a $50 family order hot and fresh, at least until we drove two hours to get home.

I went to thru the drive thru at the Long John Silvers at this location. The hushpuppies was not cooked all the way through. One piece of Fish looked old and was warm from the heat lamps the other was cold. Both Chicken Planks, the coating was falling off and slummy, as in not cooked all the way through. THEN, they didnt put the extra slaw in, which I paid for. Uurrgghh. This local does great during the week. Guess not on a Sunday, which there wasnt a busy time. Didnt see people in there and no one in the drive thru there at 630pm, June 4th, 2023. So, now I know, dont go there on a weekend. Please sell items like as if you was going to eat them. Disappointed

Of the three times taking out the food was never more than average. While many chains evolve, LJS never hit the reset button. This store is old and needs sprucing up to be just average. Last time they forgot the deserts. When I returned to pick them up, I was sorry bothered. I don’t have particularly high standards. But, even with the bar low, I can’t give them better marks. Gonna have to find another place to satisfy my fried fish craving!

Went through the drive thru and asked if this location had the coconut shrimp. I was given an emphatic “yes we serve that”. So I started my order. Coconut shrimp, number 1 combo with extra hush puppies and soda, 3 pieces of fish, 2 pieces of chicken, family size cole slaw, side of 4 hush puppies. Paid for the order and I got the receipt in the bag. Place was packed so I left with my order. Got to my 96 year old mother in law’s house with her food and turns out we didn’t get what we ordered or what we were charged for. $30 down the drain because we had to rush off immediately to turn in the rental car.
