An absolute favorite. Whenever I’m in town, this is a mandatory stop. Legit Mexican with some house specials that will have you coming back. Chips and a carafe of salsa as soon as you sit down and an extensive menu. Drink specials. Kids eat free Wednesdays. Helpful staff. I would by a t-shirt from here if they sold them!

I’ve been hearing about this place for years and finally gave them a shot recently. Overall the food was excellent! Everyone enjoyed their dish but I think the burrito Jalisco was the standout in flavor and presentation. They also make a banging, homemade hot sauce that came at no charge. That smoky tomatillo flavor is a crucial piece of the puzzle

The steak was awful. It smelled like dog food. I hadn’t eaten here in a few years, and it used to be good. Even the salsa tasted weird.

We liked our experience here and will come back again. The service was friendly and timely. We found the pricing a bit on the high side compared to what was listed on the menu. Unfortunately our appetizer order was burned. It could have been an off day. It happens.

Absolutely love this place. Amazing food, very reasonable prices and there is almost always a deal on (go on Friday night for discount margherita!) We visit every time we are in Lynchburg.

La Carretta, a few miles down the road, offers superior food, service, and prices. Avoid using DoorDash for pickup here. During my recent visit to pick up an order, multiple employees ignored me. Despite flagging down two of them, I never received an update on my order. After waiting 20 minutes past the scheduled pickup time, I decided to cancel my order and leave.

The bean burrito was amazing. I love the vibe inside. Feels as though you’re in a small restaurant in Central America/Mexico. I didn’t give it 5 stars because they charged me the full price of a burrito vallarta for a vegetarian burrito. Why are you charging me for meat?

This food was not even remotely good. I ordered queso fundido and couldn’t even stomach it. I tried multiple times but ultimately threw it away. Honestly, the regular cheese dip wasn’t good either. It was really thick and gritty. I did, however, eat the chile rellenos. They were at least decent. Didn’t have any sort of flavor at all but I added some seasoning and they were fine.
