The service was good, the didnt have the grill open where they cook in front of you because they didn’t have a chef that knows how and that’s why we went there. But the food was for was good and was asked if we wasted refills on our drinks. First time there and will be back!

I am guessing this place only has good reviews because there are no other Japanese places in the area. The food is mediocre, no better than grocery store sushi. The pork katsu is fine, but any of their tempura items are not good, i think they use a not maintained or old oil. The oil tasted rancid and old, and when I mentioned it to the server he said it was new oil, which makes no sense because he didn’t even go back to the kitchen to check. I have worked in the restaurant industry and I know when oil is either old or not maintained well/cleaned or filtered. During the whole meal, he never checked on us, I had to ask for my own utensils, all he did was hand is our food, I always had to try and get his attention, and the restaurant wasn’t that busy. And food is just not good, but if you’re really craving sushi, I guess you have no other option in the area. Do not recommend, I won’t be coming back.

Food was excellent. Our young man server was obviously inexperienced and inattentive. Got up 3 times to find him. Would have left us with a full table of dishes while running our payment if we had not to ask him to clear so we could enjoy our last few minutes.

Had a nice quiet lunch. Tried the tonkotsu ramen. 4/5. I could say the pork belly chasu tasted great, probably could braise it another hour in the oven. The egg was a nice soft boil but not marinated, that would add just a little extra. All in all I’ll come back for this great bowl.

Excelent food. Excellent service. Amazing menu. Really need 30 minutes to break it all down. 3 Tuna roll spectacular. Lobster roll was amazing. The food was so good I added an additional role of soft shell crab. Perfect topper. Only 2 hours from Seattle for fresh seafood at a great price.

Oyama Japanese Steak House is definitely on my list of favorite travel stops. When me and my family got here, there wasn’t much people around. I could see the chefs getting things prepared, and we were warmly greeted and seated very quickly. It took about 15-20 minutes to get our meal, and when we did, we didn’t regret it. I highly recommend going here! The staff is friendly, and the food is incredible! My favorite is definitely the Yaki Soba noodles, along with a side of rice. I hope, to whoever is reading this, you go and try this place out!
