My experience was amazing! I was recommended this restaurant downtown by a fellow business person in my hotel hot tub. The vibe was cool. The bartender / server Micah was amazing. He really steered me toward the right foods – mussel / clam mixture & the grandma Jean!! My cocktail and wine were just what I was hoping for too!

Jade was our server she was amazing kind and patient and she served us the best food ! We went with the family so we sat outside. There was a musician playing he was a great touch. We had the breaded chicken, mixed shells pasta, and the salmon. Everything was delicious! A great place to take the family to dinner. They are very busy but they still are able to be kind.

This place hasn’t changed in decades – and I hope it never does! Authentic Italian dishes in an old school setting with perfect, no nonsense service. All of the pasta dishes are fantastic, and do not miss the Caesar salad, which is piquant perfection.

When in Newport, One of many places to visit would be Gino’s. Excited to try to place before heading home. We ordered the Oysters and the calamari and they told us they were sold out ;-( that was not very good. Ending up having the Popcorn chicken, Manila Clams, Home made Crab Cakes and Clam chowder. Service was good but a bit slow for not being super busy. I would visit again and see if we can get the oysters and the calamari 😉

The food, ambiance, and service are all spectacular. Some of the best, most authentic we’ve had since being in Italy. The indoor dining room can get a bit loud but it’s always fun and festive. They also have a great little outdoor, street-sude dining space!

Don’t go to Gino’s if you’re opposed to having regular dreams of eating the burrata plate, only to wake up and realize it was in fact a terrible trick your unassuming mind played on you.

Great Valentines date night. Seated quicker than estimated. Our server Trevor helped keep things fun and had great recommendations! Friendly staff, great wine selection.

Coming from the east coast, Gino’s feels like home! The mussels are AMAZING but be forewarned — their portion sizes are HUGE! But no complaints, I get extra pasta to take home 🙂 the staff also labeled our to go boxes with what’s inside AND the date, a really sweet touch.

Decided to come here for dinner for the first time due to the great reviews this restaurant has. Really cute area and scenery but the food and service was absolutely horrible. Pasta was so bland and had no flavor for it and honestly the worst pasta I’ve had in Oregon. Our water pitcher was out the entire time and nobody went to refill it at all during our visit or had asked if we needed anything. It’s crazy how busy and pricey this place is for below subpar food. Definitely will not be returning. Plenty of real Italian restaurants in Portland, just not this one.
