Food was odd. Our baked beans were full of ground beef , was not advertised that they had beef in them at all. Very weird. Catfish tasted like it was battered in old corn meal and had no taste to it. Coleslaw had no sauce it was basically just cabbage. Hush puppies were okay but quite hard. The food used to be better. I never give reviews but it cost $13 for each dinner and was not worth the money. Staff was very nice though. Will not be returning.

Ate here for the first time today. Wow. Every single thing was great. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was just awesome !! Those baked beans are to die for. And don’t forget to get the funnel cake fries….. Delicious!!!! 5* all around !!!

We were happy to stumble upon Haymaker BBQ. Always encouraging when there’s a pile of wood and the smoker is going. The new manager and pitmaster was very friendly and explained his commitment to freshness and quality. We enjoyed the pulled pork and brisket the best.

I was a little bit disappointed with our dining experience here this time. We had heard that the place had underwent some changes and we were excited to see what was new. The place was absolutely packed, in fact we had to sit at a large table with another family that were complete strangers to us. There was seating outside, but it was cold and rainy, so that table was the only place to sit indoors. I guess we could’ve gotten our order to go? It took 20 minutes to get our food, so I was looking forward to it being fresh and piping hot. It wasn’t. And the amount of food on the plate definitely wasn’t worth what we paid for it. ($13 apiece without drink) We had to get a drink separate because our platters came with sides, but not a drink. I will say that the staff were very friendly! And the slaw was great! Maybe we will try again on a day that isn’t so busy.

Would give a 4.5 actually. We had decent size portions. The Cole slaw, Mac and cheese, sweet potato fries, hush puppies, and pulled pork. The sauces were not our favorite, but, that’s probably more of a regional thing. We’re from the Midwest and Memphis sweet is more what we are used to. The chopped brisket was excellent. Fried green tomatoes were also great. The funnel cake fries are a sweet finish to a meal.

I’m visiting from florida and stopped here with about 6 people, the workers were very helpful and friendly. The food came out super fast and everything was really really good. We even talked to the general manager I believe and he was super kind and welcoming. If we’re ever in the area again we’ll definitely stop by!!

Food was ok. Meat was a little dry but the sauce were really good. Staff was friendly. Country music playing. It was raining when we stopped so it was a nice place to get dry/warm. Diner style restaurant.

They used to be good before they remodeled and improved? everything. Smaller food portions. The side dishes not as good anymore. Catfish smaller and not as good. Not as friendly as before. A young man made four trips past us with a VERY loud garbage can on wheels thru the dining room. Highly annoying. We decided to not go back again. Sad about that.
