Skip the taco trucks! Chema’s tacos are the best. If you are seeking tacos that are excellent in flavor, sold at a very reasonable price, and high quality food, then look no further. This is a must try restaurant. You can get 4 tacos and a drink for under $10. That’s rare these days.

Quick and great customer service! You can order to pick up or dine in. There’s about 8 tables that sit anywhere from 2 to 4 people and parking is scarce but there’s street parking. The meat is not greasy and lean, no fat to worry about. The tacos are small but they’re amazing and full of meat! They range from $1.40 to $1.60 including taxes. Highly recommend coming here!

Been going to Chema’s since I was in high school, graduated in 88, tacos were $.85…they’re now $2 each and STILL worth Every PENNY!! My favorite USED To Be Lengua. But to keep cost under control, they’ve discontinued it and I appreciate that because it’s shows Chema cares about his customers. I’d prefer he bring lengua back and charge extra for it, that’s how delicious it was. My go to is now al pastor and Chema makes one of the best red salsas this side o the Miississipp!! HIGHLY recommended!!

Very straight forward Mexican tacos and agua fresca or soda. They were made well with a very generous amount of meat. The sauce they make is amazing. There is indoor dining available. The guy that took our order was very friendly and speaks both English and Spanish. There are about 10 tables, each seating about 4 people and a few tables for handicapped people. The place was empty when me and my friend went. Parking is very limited and although there is handicap seating indoors, it may be a little hard to get in due to uneven ground. Restrooms are available. I will be returning.

I’ve been eating here since the mid 1990’s. Tacos seem to taste the same. We live in Montclair, anytime we are in the area, I try and visit. By the way it’s called Chemas Tacos, not Chemas Tacos, burritos and tortas. Just taco’s….but oh so tasty
