The staff was really friendly and so helpful. I was slightly disappointed with the flavors of the food, the kahlua pork was very salty and the shoyu chicken was very dry and not very flavorful. Having lived in Hawaii for 20 years I was surprised at the flavors not being the same as what I was so used to. However that being said overall it wasn’t bad and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Incredible service. When we had visited it had been an extremely hot day and most restaurants closed because it was too hot in the kitchen. They stayed open and got slammed. The staff were still very high spirited and kind. The food was amazing and I am so thankful I got to visit while I was in Oregon.

First time here, I ordered the chicken Katsu sandwich and I was shocked at how good it was. Very tasty with lots of flavor. Highly recommended! Will definitely come back.

AMAZING! They were busy but so kind when I visited. My food was hot and ready within 15 minutes. I got the chicken katsu. Big portions! I was so happy with how everything tasted. First time I’ve had macaroni salad that actually has flavor to it. I will visit again!

I’ve eaten here a ton over the years, normally good experience. Today I’m finishing off my meal, and getting into the mac salad and chomp down on a large chunk of metal. They offered to refund me which is fine but sheesh, this is just negligent.

Popped in a a whim, first time customer. Highest prices for hawaiian food ive ever seen, gave them the benefit of the dout. Went big and got the rib plate and the shoyu chicken. 6 riblets on a $22 plate, the shoyu plate was big but the thighs weren’t cut up and lacked flavor needed sauce. Im a advocate for local businesses but u gotta give more if the customers are paying more. Im in the industry so i knw what im talkin about.

This is in my top 5 favorite restaurants in Portland. Such great service, atmosphere and food! I recommend the Katsu Chicken with Mac Salad as the side and extra teriyaki sauce on the side to put on the rice. So incredibly good! I need to now get it for dinner tonight 😀
