If I could give Au Courant more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! This gem is not just a restaurant; it’s an enchanting journey for your taste buds, orchestrated by a culinary genius. The chef’s creations are nothing short of brilliant, each dish on the tasting menu an artistic exploration of flavors that will leave you speechless.

Au Courant is something special – their chef/kitchen crew clearly understand the power of flavors. We did the tasting menu, and my husband and I were both floored by the unique and delicious combination of flavors of each plate. This place would be a 5 out of 5 except for a couple of notes – others reviewers have mentioned the noise, and it really should be dealt with. It is unbearably loud in Au Courant, and even some simple sound dampening on the walls and ceiling would help so much. Management, please consider investing in some if you’re reading this! We were also frustrated that we didn’t get our cocktails until after we received our first course, when we clearly saw them sitting on the bar. We get that our waitress was busy, but paying over $250 for our meal, we expected quicker service. Overall, great culinary experience in Omaha!

We went for my birthday and the experience was just bad. I wanted to do the tasting menu, and my girlfriend wanted pasta. When we made the reservations, no one mentioned we both had to do the tasting menu, and the waitress seemed annoyed that we asked. I feel that after we put a reservation for two and then only selected one tasting menu option, it would have been great for someone to reach out and make it clear that was not possible. She told us we could just both order entrees, which would be much bigger size than the tasting menu plates. We ended up paying $35 for two bites of a fish and $17 for 11 nickel sized tortellini. We had to ask about the drinks since the ones on the website were ones that they weren’t serving actually serving anymore. Our waitress recommended one saying it was sweet and good, but it just tasted like straight whiskey. We would of gladly ordered more plates to try out the food we were interested in but toward the end we didn’t feel welcomed since everything that was recommended was a bust it felt more like they wanted us to leave than anything.

The wine pairings with the tasting menu were wonderful. The sommelier was excellent and picked the perfect wine for each dish. Highly recommend the tasting menu + wine pairing. Such a great spot. Will revisit.

The most delicious food I have ever had. The staff was nothing short of amazing. We chose the tasting menu and we were not disappointed. Our only complaint was it was a tad loud and it could be hard to hear each other at times. We will absolutely be back next time we are in town.

Did the chefs selection with wine pairing. Was incredible! My son’s said each bite had ” all these flavors”. The wine pairing complimented each course probably the way wine is suppossed to but seldom achieved on my own. The presentation and explanation we received with each course and the wine description with each course was a dinner experience we won’t soon forget! The only complaint was it’s pretty noisy/echo ey but hey, it’s a smallish popular place and by the time we finished, it was quieter.

I visited this place early June. Great environment. It’s an experience you have to try at least once. The dishes are small but they do add up in your stomach I got the course meals but was hungry and got an additional dish. I was so full after that, I had to wait a half hour before leaving. My servers were fantastic.
