Aviles is a restaurant located inside of Hilton’s Bayfront location. Chef Coty prepared the best crab cake I’ve ever had, and the herbed butter that comes with the warm crusty bread is such a treat. The bartender, Ed, did a fantastic job of crafting me his signature drink – The Hendericks Refresher – it was the perfect accompaniment to my crab cake. The restaurant area doesn’t have much ambiance which may thwart potential visitors, but the food is quite good. My only suggestions would be to improve/expand the wine list so that it matches the quality of the food, and to improve the ambiance of the dining area. Thank you to the Aviles team for a wonderful dining experience.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in St. Augustine!!! It is located inside the Hilton hotel on US 1 by the Castillo de San Marcos. Water view on the first floor. The food is exquisite!! We had the bruschetta with beef tips. For dinner I had the 8oz filet and my boyfriend had the 16oz dry aged del Monaco complemented with a bottle of juggernaut Cabernet. Our Complements to the chef! Outstanding flavors and elegant presentation. Our waitress Sheraz was very knowledgeable about both food and wine. Everything is amazing from the food to the drinks to the service! A MUST have dinner stop when visiting St. Augustine!!

The hostess and waitress were very friendly, and the bread/butter served before the entrees were pretty tasty. The food is pricey but still pretty good. The downside is it took noticeably long for it to come out. The oyster appetizer came out quick but didn’t last very long on the table. After around 20 min we got the food, and it was pretty much well worth the wait. Would recommend.

Ed was the consummate professional and fantastic bartender. The wine list included a favorite wine. They made a special vegetarian dish for us – wild mushroom risotto with asparagus. Delicious bread with seasoned butter. Very classy, small venue dining.

I debated writing this review because this place is a hidden gem….I didn’t want to spread the word and have to wait for a table when we come back. LOL This place is AMAZING!! It’s in the Hilton lobby and on the pricier side but you really, truly get what you pay for here. Lee was our waitress and super!! The staff are all classy and well put together. Our table got a bit of something of everything. I had the braised short ribs, with creamy mashed potatoes and asparagus. I don’t love asparagus but the stalks were hefty and perfectly cooked. My beef melting in my mouth. They also have nightly prime rib!! One of us had surf and turf, someone had steak and another had the Maine Lobstah….we were all swooning over our meals!! Fresh and delicious!! Outstanding and well deserving of my 5 stars!!
