Backdoor Brick Oven in Bowling Green, MO, is a new pizza restaurant serving Hannibal, Troy, and Ralls counties. Backdoor was created by the owners to pair with the adjacent family-owned business, Two Scoops. We found a brick oven with a rotating stone that has the capability of cooking four to five pizzas at a time and their business concept was solidified around it. Checked out Backdoor Pizza in Bowling Green Missouri today. I found it to be tasty. Service was great. Kitchen was super fast. I had the Buffalo Chicken pizza which has a crust that lies between cracker and hand tossed. It had great flavor and a ton of cheese. Craving pizza it will hot the spot

Really wanted some good pizza and a good beer as we traveled. The only beer that they carry is budwieser, so no “real” beer choices to choose from. We opted for slushy drinks instead. Pizza was okay, but not really as good as we expected. Nothing about the pizza set it apart from the run of the mill bar or frozen pizza.

While visiting Bowling Green we decided to try Backdoor Brick Oven pizza AND the Two Scoops ice cream for dessert. The pizza is hand-stretched dough, which makes a difference in the flavor. Sauce and toppings are fantastic. Their ice cream is rich and creamy; a nice dessert after pizza. I highly recommend this restaurant for good pizza and ice cream.
