We had a fabulous time at the annual wooden boat show. Followed by a great lunch at the restaurant. Tasted the Bar Harbor bourbon whiskey which is smooth and slightly fruity back flavor. Already have our reservation for next year!

I have been visiting Bar Harbor since the 70’s. Although the latest rendition is much nicer than the version I enjoyed as a kid, the value of the experience is not. They make you eat lunch on the patio (the building is literally locked), the quality of the food is low, and the prices are ridiculous. I don’t see myself ever returning.

Bar Harbor is our favorite place up in the Brainerd Lakes area. The Grand Daddy Old Fashion and the Bootleg are the best in the area. The food is always consistently good and better priced than the resorts fine dining restaurants. The staff works hard and make the experience memorable. That’s why we keep going back whenever we can. Over the years we have made new and reconnected with old friends. If you are in the Brainerd Lakes area make Bar Harbor one of your lunch or dinners.

Food and service were excellent. Very pleasant and professional staff. I was a bit harsh on pull tabs but I’ve reconsidered my position, they are quintessential Minnesota. I returned there for lunch on the patio overlooking the marina and it was quite nice.
