If you know the expression, “the cook put their foot in it…” when food is good… At BB’s, they put their entire leg in it! (I’m literally doing the Stanky Leg dance) The food is a throwback to Georgia / Louisiana flavors, and so is the hospitality. The catfish was light and crispy. The greens were cooked well with the slight notes of smoked pork. The Mac & cheese was balanced and cheesy, not heavy or greasy. The waffles… oh my the waffles, it’s a must try! BB’s makes Roscoe’s look and taste like Clifton’s cafeteria food… so much better. Such a diamond, I doubled my order TO-GO. IYKYK… Now you know, so GO!

There are so many things wrong with their food. I grew up eating southern cooking in the south and this is by far a disgrace to our cooking. The peach cobbler was mushy, watery, oily, and no flavor. The mac and cheese was bland and had a lot of oil on the bottom. The collard greens tasted like canned collard greens. The waffle was a thin and doughy type texture, honestly I would have done a better job doing my own. The only thing I really liked was the baked beans and hush puppies. The food isn’t worth the price they charge. I know with the prices of everything is now, but still just a big no. I will never come here again, honestly ruined my memories of a good southern meal where I literally started crying.

Great food, the chicken was hot fresh made to order very crisp, the green and mac n cheese also full of flavor. The pricing is great as well. And the two young lady’s who own the business are very sweet

Spent over $40 here w/ tip. Just trying to support our own. The Mac n cheese was so oily it pooled at the bottom of its container so my wife couldn’t finish it. Fried chicken flavorless and under cooked. The peach cobbler is what got me. It was watery, oily, and mushy like chunky soup. Waffle was alright. Only good thing were the hush puppies and beans. Sorry won’t be coming back…

Serves was excellent but food was very disappointing. I went in here thinking I was going to get really good food based on all the positive reviews. Long story short, the peach cobbler was gross and watery, the baked beans tasted like they were straight from the can, green beans were plain, yams were okay, the catfish had no flavor, and the pulled pork sandwich was dry and flavorless. The only good items me and my mom enjoyed were the condiments served and the Mac and cheese. Wasted my $48

Some really great soul food. Chicken and waffles are my favorite. Breakfast burritos and their collard greens are the best.

A no-frills soul food based spot. We tried their chicken and waffles and found the dough in the waffles to have a nice chewy doughnut like texture. Friendly and attentive staff. A bit of a small sitting area, but they accommodated some overcrowding by implementing a foldable outdoor table and chairs. I’ll have to try their breakfast burrito the next time I’m in the area.
