The Bearded One BBQ was born from Pitmaster Chris’s passion for BBQ. What began 10 years as a hobby has morphed into a successful competition team, food truck and now full time location. With the help and support of many family and friends he now is bringing his award winning BBQ to you. We currently are operating out of the “ The Spot”, 933 RT 33, Monroe along with many festivals and events all year long. We are available for private parties and events. I’ve finally had a chance to give them a try today since the days they are open are also the long days I work. I ordered their brisket grilled cheese after looking at other people’s reviews and half pint of pulled pork/brisket. The grilled cheese was spectacular!! The crunch of the bread perfectly complemented the tender, smokey briske for a great contrast in texture! I haven’t had brisket like this in a while! Just make sure you order and eat it right away before the bread softens for maximum enjoyment! I just wish they were open on more days of the week so I can visit more often.

Wow! The apple smoked chicken wings are amazing! I ordered these two days in a row and they hit the spot for sure. The beans surprised me for sure… they were spicy and fully of flavor. I was definitely expecting them to be sweet but I was pleasantly surprised to find them otherwise. I really loved the coleslaw with its crispiness and great flavor though i wasn’t a fan of the mac n cheese. The people who work there are really friendly and they definitely know what they’re doing. I’ve been wanting to stop by for months but never got the chance, I’m happy I finally did!

Food is delicious, I recommend pulled pork grilled cheese. Service was super friendly and even wished us well as we left. There is seating area to eat which is nice but only 4 parking spots. Wish there was some sort of cornbread.

I just went two days in a row and will probably go back tomorrow. I stopped off yesterday and tried the brisket grilled cheese sandwich. It was amazing. I dreamt about it last night and decided I had to go back again today. Today I tried the jalapeno burger that too was amazing. I hear they make ribs on Thursdays so I think I’m going tomorrow for ribs.

I recently visited Bearded One for the first time in about a year. I was pleased to smell the smoke and see the firewood stacked and ready for use. Although these two signs do not guarrantee a great BBQ experience, I have found them to be good indicators of good food.
