First of all there is no Verizon internet coverage (that we could find) in Paonia. This restaurant has wi-fi but we had to ask the server to sign in for us. My wife had a chicken sandwich that was tasty but a little generic. I had the chicken wings which were very good and they gave just drumettes like I asked! The only seating area is on the covered deck in the back which overlooks the orchard but is open to the outside temp. The peaches were good inside but the cheeto like butter toffee puff snacks were just OK.

We stopped here in early November based on a recommendation from another local business owner and enjoyed a wonderful respite from our long day on the road. The cheeseburgers and chips were excellent. The staff welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed. After a late lunch, we cruised the little store and bought bags of dried apples and chunks of homemade fudge, both of which were superb. Our timing calendar-wise was great since Berg Harvest took a winter break starting Nov. 20, 2021. Seating is on a deck that can be closed or opened depending on the weather. The view from the deck of the well-cared-for apple orchard made me feel like I had stepped into New England. We enjoyed the old pieces of equipment indoors and outside with educational signage. It feels like Berg Harvest has a great sense of pride in what it does. I hope we can come back some day. This would be a fun stop in the middle of a summer wine-tasting trip to Paonia.
