Food was way too salty. I normally do not salt food. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich and it was not too good. The flavor was a little off and too salty. I also had the seasoned waffle fries. Once again, waaaaay too salty. The three choices for sauce for the bbq that was served in plastic squeeze bottles was just okay. None stood out and all were too watery. Wife got a burger and didn’t complain about it. Can’t really screw up a burger. Service was okay. Ate at the bar.

My family and I had a wonderfully time at Billy G’s. The service was fast and she had everything right the first time. Billy G’s changed their menu a few months ago and the food tasted awesome. I got the Lone Ranger with brisket and it came with three sides and a fresh dark greens salad. I had an unsweet to drink and it was brewed just right. We were all so impressed by how much flavor each thing we ate had. There also was fussball and other games to play.

As a BBQ fan, Billy G’s isn’t my top pick at all. Billy G’s is a great choice though, if one is already at Wild Dunes (whether as a tourist or day visitor looking for dinner). The pulled pork wasn’t the greatest. Service was faster and slower depending on waiter. But overall, Billy G’s has a solid choice of food at a fairly good quality for the price. Expect to spend slightly more for the on-property, resort setting (around $15 an entree), but don’t turn away Billy G’s because of its lack of reviews. It’s a wonderful spot on Wild Dunes property for a filling dinner.

I’m assuming they were having a bad day…Got there and was told it would be about 40 minute wait, which was no problem. After 45 minuets asked how much longer the wait would be and was told we had 7 still in front of us. Mysteriously we got a table (that was open the whole time) within 5 minutes of me asking.The waitress came by and got our drink order and when she returned we gave her our food order. Another 45 minutes passed and we still had no food. Noticed during that time only a couple of tables got food while we were waiting and one got there order and promptly left. We tried to waive down our waitress and could not find her, waited another 5 minutes and left.

We had landed in Charleston with one bag stuck in a terminal at Chicago. After getting caught in a flash storm, everyone was drenched. Our change of clothes were in Chicago. With a taste for bbq, we found Billy G’s and they turned our trip around. Call it southern charm, or just good people, but they gave my kids Billy G t shirts so they could have dry clothes. We ordered apps, drinks and main dishes while an acoustic guitar man played in the corner of the restaurant. My kids played foosball and shuffle board while we waited for our dinner. Eva, our server was beyond nice. Dinner was outstanding. The bbq has a distinct goodness to it and their homemade sauces took the meal to another level. Even the kid pizza tasted like it came from a pizzeria and not just the tombstone version you get when you order off the kid’s menu. The cocktails are homemade and taste good. I can’t recommend this place enough.

People and food were great!! Alex was our bartender the 1st night and we had such a great time we went back the next night and he ended up being our server in the restaurant!! The Salty Goat didn’t have my usual alcohol, but Alex had no problem whipping up something fantastic I enjoyed!! If I could give 10 stars I would!!

I wish I could give zero stars. This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. We sat down at 6:30 pm. Our food did not arrive until 8:17 pm. The food was awful (the pork was SO dry) – we left by 8:30. The table behind us still didn’t have their food when we left and they ordered before us. On top of all that, the food was way overpriced. Do yourself a favor and order a pizza instead.

I very rarely ever review… but this was a mess! No hostess. No one knew what was going on. Food was so so. We couldn’t even find someone to tell us if we seat ourselves or not. And so overpriced. Will not be back. Waitress was the only decent thing.

When you enter the Restuarant, you can smell the most delightful Smokey flavor. I have anaphylactic food allergies so I worked with Chef Scott to find foods that worked for me. I ordered the brisket and mac-n-cheese. I can honestly say that my meal was FANTASTIC! The brisket didn’t disappoint! I will be back for sure!! Thanks for taking good care to keep me safe without sacrificing flavor!
