They deserve more than five! The food was great, was friendly and the place was clean! I had the pot roast. Fantastic! I also have to recommend the Huckleberry lemonade. They show great respect and appreciation of their staff with the pictures of them on the front of the menu. Good job! I will be back again!!!

The staff was very friendly. One of the sweetest waitresses I’ve had in a long time. Her name was Celeste. We had the breakfast special and everything came out great. The sweet cream pancakes were my favorite. The bacon was thick sliced.. not paper thin like some other breakfast places. Great place for breakfast!

Great service, great food!!! This place is a go to stop for me whenever I’m in Amarillo. More than enough food to start off a day of driving, and it’s all the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend the Grizz with a side of loaded grits and potatoes for a great priced breakfast for everything you get!!

The food was not very good. The rueben sandwich was ok, but I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out well done and DRY. The server just said, “sorry sometimes they come out like that”. Even the chicken strips were over- cooked and almost burnt. Then, we waited at least five minutes at the register to pay while severs saw us waiting but ignored us.

If you like Bear themed restaurants this is the place for you. They have black bear everything, and I do mean everything. The walls, pillars, booths, barstools, menus, and their small gift shop section are all incredibly themed around the North American Black Bear. Order the Denver Omelet and Waffles. They really can’t get those wrong. The service is slow and relaxed, expect to wait after you order longer than you would anticipate. The kitchen serves accurate food, that could use more seasoning, flavor, and taste. Eggs and bacon are not their strongest items, and their fruit isn’t very fresh. Their fresh Orange juice is made daily, when the machine isn’t broken.

I’ve been there three times in Amarillo, as it is one of my routes, but the food is excellent and so was the service. I try to have dinner there everytime I’m in town. Highly recommended

First time to try this place & it’s awesome!! Friendly staff & great food. They have half sizes for those of us that can’t eat the huge sizes most places have. Food was on time & hot. It’s part of the TA truck stop here in Amarillo Tx so it’s great for us trucks that want something other then fast food. Will definitely be back.

It was terrible. Only thing good was the toast. Worst chicken fried steak I’ve ever had. $1.49 to put the gravy on the side … I guess. Mashed potatoes tasted bland. Ranch dressing tasted watered down. First time at a Black Bear. ZERO STARS!!!

Excellent tri tip (not pictured). Roast was a little dry. Husband enjoyed the burger. Tri tip servings were perfect. The roast serving was huge. The side salads are huge. The prices can not be beat and the decor is cute.
